  1. I agree. I think Radford was definitely better then Graham overall. They didn't make mistakes and they were sound fundamentally. Excellent tackling on defense. Maybe Graham wins 4 out of 10. That senior leadership is something that can't be undervalued .
  2. Congrats to Radford, the better team won. They out-played and out-coached Graham. They have good senior leadership on that team. I'll be pulling them next week.
  3. Graham fans outnumber Radford fans here in CBurg today.
  4. Coach Winfred Beale standing on the hill on Graham's side of the field. At least he is on the right side!!
  5. Radfords QB has accounted for 63 tds this season. 34 passing, 24 rushing and 5 pick 6's.
  6. Personally, I would like to see Poqouson knock off Riverheads. Would like a little bit of redemption against them for that win they got over Richlands on 2010. (I know, been a long time, but at my age, 13 years seems like yesterday).
  7. The parking lot is big, shouldn't be a problem at all. here's a link to a pictures of the stadium and parking lot. Just scroll down on mobile device, you may have to click on something on a laptop, not sure. Only part of thr parking is shown, there is plenty more just a tad further back. https://www.landtekgroup.com/portfolio-item/christiansburg-high-school/
  8. Some of the folks mentioned in this thread most likely didn't even apply. I'm sure we will know in early December.
  9. Prior to the Glenvar game, Radford was the clear favorite. I say they are still the favorite. Graham is the underdog in this one. Radford won the right to host and deservedly so. Christiansburg has a very nice field since they got turf, should be a great venue.
  10. Stopping the run of Riverheads for whoever they face will be a tall task.
  11. Graham will petition to play up. They had single A numbers for 40 years and petitioned to play up to AA in the past.
  12. VHSL just posted this memo. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X4AnzbOQzT4NBR9wXXuozpB0WbwAbHla/view?pli=1 Scroll down to the section about seating.... Seating o Adequate seating specifically identified for visiting spectators must be guaranteed and the location of such seating should include a buffer from home team spectators.
  13. Clements is graduating, but there's another Palmer and another Bradshaw on the way.... Look out for the freshman #22, Caleb Fix in the near future also, he is very fast too. Future looks bright for both of these teams. Looking forward to some more great battles. As far as the performance by Clements tonight, all I can say is "wow".
  14. Nope, just a parade down the middle of Ernie Hicks by the opposing teams.
  15. According to Cal Preps - Martinsburg has a 94% chance to beat Princeton and Huntington has an 87% chance to beat Princeton. I hope Princeton defies the odds, but those 2 teams are elite teams.
  16. Yeah, you never know what to expect when Graham and Union play the past few years. Both very good teams, both capable of beating each other. I give the edge to Union because of the lineplay, but would not be surprised to see Graham come out with the "W" because of the big play capability with their athletes healthy. They are a little banged up on the line, however.
  17. I don't think anybody that matters is taking anybody else lightly at this point in the season. I know that Tony P. and company preach the importance of respecting your opponent each time they play. I'm sure Union does the same. If I'm Graham or Union, you can at least see a chink in the armour of Radford and that gives a little confidence, I believe. These last couple of weeks (including tomorrow's game) are going to be one of the most exciting in AA in quite a few years.
  18. Lot of eyes will be on Graham vs Union tomorrow, the only game in town in AA. Lot of folks already handing the title to Riverheads and giving CCC the POY on the "other" board.
  19. Dang, They're playing Madden in Princeton, on rookie mode.
  20. Central, although good is not very diverse offensively. Stop Forbes, you stop Central. They squeaked out an 8-7 win last week, could be they were too predictable tonight. I wouldn't count Gladiator eggs just yet. Some very explosive offenses left in this thing with Radford, Union, Graham and Poquoson. Union and Graham also have stout defenses, especially Union.
