Men, yesterday, I was told that it was all but done, but my source is telling me now that he has backed away after mulling it over with family. He apparently has informed them to move on, after having verbally committed to taking the job. And yes, it certainly would have been a home run and generated a ton of positivity and enthusiasm.

No I’ve not heard Johnson’s name. If it gets done, I’ll post the name here before it hits the media. Fair enough? Since this coach is currently at another job I don’t want to put his name out there until he has accepted the position, which I’m told is very close to happening.

You make a great point. I'm not promising anything. Just hopeful that what I've been told comes to fruition. Would be a big boost for Lee, and I think a boost for the District as a whole.

This individual would be able to keep them at home and over time would make Lee an attractive destination for others. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully what I'm hearing is accurate and things come together. Would be a big boost for the school and community

I have talked to two folks who don't make a habit of spreading false rumors, both live in Pennington. Lee has a big fish on the line and hopefully they get him all the way into the boat. Would be a great hire by anyone's standards. We'll see how it plays out.
