  1. Lol, guys it’s not everyone whining. I am one of the few that post on both boards and will defend certain things. I have learned any talk about enrollment is a fools errand. I don’t care where we play and as I have said numerous times, Radford was the better team period.
  2. Incredibly clutch, congrats Galax
  3. Congrats to a phenomenal Radford team. Enjoy the moment and continue to reach for success like today. Clark was as advertised and lead his team to this championship.
  4. I think it’s awesome that this sense of community still exists.
  5. Quick question, why are so many people invested in the hiring? I get it that you guys all support these teams when they advance but there just seems to a helluva a lot more people not associated with that program and have an opinion than those that are fans. I don’t see that in other places across the state and was wondering why?
  6. Objectively looking at a few items from this game from my view: Speed-Radford Defense against the others strength- Radford Big Play Capability- Radford Title Game experience- Riverheads Based on these Radford has to be favored. Can Radford consistently run their offense mistake free, while stopping Riverheads from scoring? Based on what we have all seen so far that would seem to be the case. My opinion is that will not necessarily be what happens but that’s why we play the game. Radford is extremely athletic and have done what was expected by most once this season started. Riverheads has somewhat out performed what was expected this first year in 2A. There were a few people outside of Riverheads that thought this was possible but not many. I feel this game is closer than some might think. Radford is the favorite but I think the Gladiators find a way to win some kind of way.
  7. Or he may have counted on his assistants to do their job and became a better head coach…..
  8. It’s the VHSL, that’s the reason. They are idiots and have been for many years.
  9. I won’t speak to how good Honaker is but Galax plays a legit schedule and is as battle tested as anyone can be coming into the playoffs every year. Tons of respect to them for going into hostile territory and handling their business.
  10. Not sure he would but fishing close by would be an incentive for sure.
  11. IF Galax comes out and is physical with them early and limits that very good offense, I think Galax wins by a score or two. If Honaker is able to move the ball at will it will be a large margin victory for them and a berth in Salem. I just believe Galax is likely the most physical team upfront that Honaker will have faced this year.
  12. CCC lived in Georgia until his mom moved back to the area. Believe what you want but if we did recruit there have been several in recent years that would have played in G’ville. Our school board is reluctant to let kids change schools for other reasons much less sports.
  13. I wasn’t implying they didn’t have athletes but I haven’t seen them have the speed Graham and Radford have. They may very well be miles ahead of Riverheads in speed too but again I don’t see that as much as I see every player in position and doing their job on about every play. I suppose you don’t see blazing speed unless there are mistakes that have to be covered up.
  14. I wasn’t aware the boundaries had been redrawn. I do know there is a dip in the amount of students coming up but it is what it is. If we are going to throw stones how does recruiting and changing schools work in SWVA. As an outsider I can only see what is on here and it appears there are two or three of the better schools that consistently “steal” players from other schools in the area. If I was guessing I imagine that’s why the admin petitioned to stay down knowing that there will be another move coming up.
