You have a very valid point with Jones. If he would have received some serious coaching at the key ages of 12-16 he’d be a legit QB prospect!

Just save your breathe. I'll go ahead and say it.....UVAObserver is an argumentative asshat. Just agree to disagree with the guy. He is the reason half the board now pulls against Tazewell.

This is a change that I have really noticed not only in the last 20 years when I coached before having my own, but going back to my own little league days. My coaches all were younger guys and I remember the same holes and terminology all the way through high school. Even though Richlands doesn’t use it now, I can still remember all the formations and plays. Thanks for bringing up this point.

Can't do that with Daddy Ball coaches. Today's little league are rife with player's parents who coach only for the duration their kids are on the team. These are almost ALWAYS the skill position players' parents who coach. Thus, they implement an offense that highlights their child's abilities. So..the offense is always changing. Times have changed. My little league coach ran our team for almost two decades....didn't have kids on the team and we were a very tough team to play against. If I was a head coach I would absolutely take charge of the youth leagues and "get them on the same page" and make sure they were at least using the same lingo and basic formations as the high school.

Apparently the hitch was poorly ran and it didn't pull the LB, the corner, and the safety away from 5.

They did that last year and RV failed to identify and take advantage of it. They left the middle of the field wide open and RV threw, wait for it, zero slants and posts. We see your incompetence and raise you one. 😂
This season is a different issue……just no rhyme or reason to the passing attack. It’s random AF. If you understand passing you’ll notice there are no concepts. Against Richlands, a called deep corner route with no underneath check down route led to an interception into triple coverage. Play design isn’t setting QB up for success. Asking him to consistently make low percentage throws. A lot of RV faithful not happy that OC reigns turned over to a Coach with no high school OC experience at all. Alot of figuring it out as we go.

Is he the type to yell out "HOLD" on every play when his team is on defense and "Pass Interference" when they're on offense?

Too much talent on that team to hand OC which has no experience as OC to call plays with so much on the lines for the kids. Don’t cheat the kids that have worked hard just to get your son some coaching experience.

It doesn't matter if Turner moves sneed back there or anyone else. The Pack are about to open a good ole can of butter whooping on the bears up on the Ridge. Look for it to be loud and get ugly quick. Pack by 30 or more.

Like others have said give credit to Tarter for sticking with these kids when other coaches have bailed on them and he has caught much more flak for staying than the others have for abandoning the team. There are a lot of issues with the program but Tarter imo is not one of them.

Well, if you're going to hang out here you need to understand a few things:
Union folk are never happy.
Giles is experiencing a civil war.
Tazewell somehow has become overrated.
Graham is Graham
Ridgeview will only go as far as their Dline will take them.
We can't figure out Gate City
Lee is on the upswing.
Eastside is on the downswing.
We're not sure about Burton.
The whole damn board dislikes Central.
We have our own internal drama, so you may not go directly to the front of the line.
Enjoy.
