  1. Did not say my son was transferring,,if he decided to I would back him 100%, only asked the question would this be a reason to transfer.
  2. Sometimes it is not all the parents , I know my son gets discouraged when he goes for work outs and only 3-5 kids show up . It shows on the field when you get pushed around by other teams and people wonder why we are getting beat . You have one or two kids giving 110% and others want to just get by . I know the sacrifices my son has made since the 7 grade. So if he comes to me and says “dad I want something more” then as a dad why wouldn’t I reach out ? I may have to look into this free gear though 🤣🤣🤣
  3. I agree that coaches should not actively recruit, they do not need to , the kids will reach out to the coaches themselves . In this day of social media , the kids know what’s happening at other schools . They know how much work/effort is being put in by either the coaching staff or who shows up for weight lifting . My son is friends and works out with kids that play at different schools in the area . He knows how much effort these other players and coaches are putting into the program .They talk (should say text) and they listen .
  4. So if my son is talented enough to play on Saturdays but is getting zero help from his coaches in the recruitment process it’s wrong for him to transfer somewhere that will help him ? I agree with being loyal but there comes a time when you have to look out for yourself . At the end of the day when that final buzzer goes off after your senior year , loyalty, friendships are not going to get you anywhere.
