Really cool to see so many VA - TN face offs these days, especially this one. Knowing the culture between GC and DB it’s exciting. They’ve shared a lot of students from Lynn Garden (TN) through the years and many faculty at GC live in Kingsport. Fun match up. Hats off to Houseright and the GC admin for saying no to nepotism, building a historic program back to notoriety, and scheduling awesome opponents. It’s hard to beat GC at Legion. GC 35 - DB 31

My heart breaks for the boys playing for the Blues, but I hope that the higher ups who orchestrated this colossal failure get that result and then some.

Richlands has more cheerleaders than football players

This was around the time of Aaron Lowe’s heavy influence in the system.

The track record here makes me more and more convinced that what I heard is true - Davis was canned predominantly for McGhee to have his boy at QB and for Breeding to have his at LB. Ronnie deserved better.

Lowe’s son a QB, and McGhee’s son a QB. Maybe totally coincidental but I somehow doubt it

And it’s worthy to note Breeding wanted to be a LB not a lineman despite being around 285lbs… Davis wouldn’t go for it, but I bet Bubba feels differently

I don’t know about his track record outside of his stint at RHS but it was rather lack luster. But more than that, I wouldn’t want to be Edwards after seeing how Coach Davis was treated for not favoring McGee as QB. If he doesn’t step right, he will be next.

J. McGee’s son is slated for the spot, barring injury. He was not rumored to be HC Ronnie Davis’ pick. But HC Davis (and the OC) were conspicuously relieved of their duties.

Which one has a personal stake on the RHS roster? What’s at stake?

Richlands not gonna win big games until they stop pretending they can spare to play guys one way. Boyd has to play secondary. adkins better at safety than LB. switch that and they’re 15% better team
