  1. I agree it's not a good way of making a point, the reason being it makes it really hard on the city workers who do garbage routes and will have to clean it up, they'll probably leave it anyhow, till the people who are responsible for these rules, who won't be getting their hands dirty, will make them do it. It makes a point but it really punishes the wrong people. A better point could be made by all of these residents simply not paying citations, demanding refunds for the weeks garbage wasn't picked up, and showing up at the next city meeting and being very vocal about it and so on. There's a time for not being civil, eventually, but not when there are more civil answers already at hand. Only my opinion. As for here, I didn't about this till I read it here, not any problems with my garbage in bags only being picked up recently, even yesterday, maybe this is more selective here and there? I don't know, but I do know this, it's a dirty job, I even did it for months when I was very young and just out of the army for the first time, and I tip the garbage men well at christmas and thanksgiving, and some other time during the year I give them each 5 bucks, and say thanks. Maybe that's why my garbage in bags is still being picked up and I didn't even know there was a problem. Regardless, I don't tip for perks, I just do it because it can be a dirty job that is sometimes not appreciated as much as it should be and in my opinion they aren't paid enough for doing it around here anyways..
  2. Do you even know the difference between a "machine gun" and a semi auto rifle? A lot of U.S. troops on the ground in Iraq or A stan aren't even walking around with machine guns in hand. The anti gun crowd would be wise to educate themselves on guns before making arguments against them.
  3. I took it to the computer place beside subway on cumberland today, on advice from beaverbaseball, and they seemed to think they can recover the items rather cheaply and easy enough and perhaps even do something about the computer depending on what's wrong with it. Appreciate it, we'll see how it goes.
  4. I appreciate that ghsfan, if i can't do it simple locally I will contact them.
  5. Thanks for the comments yall, I'll see how it goes. vthokies I don't think I can recall any plans about it but it's been almost 3 years anyhow. So I 'll just have to see who can do something with it.
  6. I guess it's 1 of those situations where my opinion will be based on the computer I had, but I know what you're sayin about all computers being able to fail. I did have many of these photos of a thumb drive but something had happened to it to, just some bad luck but I certainly will be backing them all up if possible. Appreciate the comments and hopefully all's well there with you and yall. appreciate the mention of the sync toy to, sounds good.
  7. I appreciate it, I got to the white text but it didn't go any further than that and just went blank, I guess I'll have to ship it to an apple dealer and just have them get the info off of it, 1,500 $ paperweight as far as I'm concerned. I'll never buy another mac. I thought I might have to take it somewhere to someone who can do something with it, but I'd rather not have to ship it. But I appreciate it much any.
  8. I have a laptop that won't start up and I'm just hoping to get it started up and get all my photos off of it, they're from iraq and obviously not replaceable. It will power up, but won't load.
  9. I'll just say welcome to tyranny. It passed. Government has now taken over health care. I don't recall it ever being government's right to take over anything. So all who supported this type of government, what do you support government taking over of yours, mine, ours next? Do you expect there to be a line? Do you have a line.?
  10. Been trying to refrain from all the bickering, as I've been as guilty or more of over the years, since way back about the windmills, but occasionally. I was just going to mention that the warning signs were there, but most obvious to me was the example of the very chicago area under his political influence.
  11. Ed since no one has answered your post, I'm just telling you I don't think they know the schedule, unless they scheduled some games they haven't told about, they probably still lack a game or maybe 2. I don't know it, I know that.
  12. I appreciate the comment vthokies, but for what it's worth, I'm not in any way attempting to stand out in any of this, but this guy puts the military down time after time with these snide comments, and to be honest I'm not even certain what he's trying to say yet. It's the typical argument that can be expected with a liberal, they don't make any sense. And this guy had the audacity to say he served in the military a month or so ago.
  13. The people in the military are the ones who provide you and everyone else with personal liberty, they do more for it than anyone else, what are you trying to say?
  14. The military doesn't "compromise" a gd thing in this country, it's kept this country safe for decades and even more for the last 8 years. Our military has been the one that has kept large scale peace in check around the globe and on a humanitarian level makes intervention in places like hatti possible. You say if people want a military they should pay for it, we have, and if you want freeedom and safety you have to pay for that by having such a strong military. No one pays a higher cost than the military servicemen and women themselves though. You're consistent bashing of the military is beyond old and offensive, especially to those who really did serve in it.
  15. Div 1a is full of players throughout the years who excel but weren't recruited because they didn't fit the excepted mold, particularly size it seems. Enough of those stories in the nfl even. Most of the times these players worked even harder and stepped up and proved themselves. It's not really a fair mold but it's the system. Lilly in my opinion lacked the size for the typical mold most div 1 schools look for. In my opinion he could benefit from starting at a smaller school and then play div1. Personally in my opinion he could really excel at a strong div2 school, such as appalachian state. That would be a really good fit for him. Their program is obviously top notch at that and not so far from here. But congrats to each of them! They each have lots of potential.
