With regards to Warren County, there is more going on behind the scenes at that school this year. The decision was made more by kids quitting the team and/or just not wanting to play this week. Sad situation all around....

Maybe..maybe not. You can play TPC Sawgrass during the off season for about what it cost to play at Primland. I wouldn't mind to try my luck on the island green at #17.

We will grab a case, walk over to TCCC and it will all be about the same.

Played a round of golf there last year. Hands down the nicest course I've ever played. Beautiful views on practically every hole. I didn't pony up the money for it, as it was a birthday present from my then girlfriend.....we were engaged shortly thereafter.....

Ashley Plantation is okay. The quality of the course has seemed to improve in the 3 years I have been living here but you're right some of the hole designs just leave you saying "meh". Typically I play a majority of my rounds at Hanging Rock, Ole Monty (another course that has drastically improved) and Blue Hills. Great Oaks in Floyd is another nice course, fun to play. Glad they made it public.

Shot a +1 74 at Ashley Plantation here in Roanoke last summer. Had a 15 footer for bird on the last to shoot -1 and ran it past and left myself with a downhill 4 footer that lipped out. Was playing the best golf of my life during that stretch last summer. Any of you guys played played Ballyhack here in Roanoke? Played it during that same time when I was playing well and shot 95. Soul crushing course from start to finish. Been back a few times since and can't do any better than an 87.

Dan Mullen seems to be the new flavor this week. I'd be more than happy with that hire. Made MSU relevant. Can develop a QB (Lawson), has recruited very well at a school with little to no tradition, seems like he and his family are great people. Make it happen Whit!!
