  1. Final Bluefield 49 Point Pleasant 14
  2. Late 4th qtr Bluefield 42 Point Pleasant 14
  3. Anyone have any updates on the young man who was injured for Tazewell in last nights game?
  4. I was curious about what went down on the onside kick as well because we know the ball clearly went 10 yards. Looked at the rules and it states the following “Players on the kickoff team are no longer able to get a running start before the kick and players must be distributed evenly on either side of the kicker, five to his right and five to his left. So, I looked at some video and this is what I see on the play. Now clearly, I am no replay official but from the looks of things you can see that the side Levi kicked to has 6 players on that side. I am going to attach the image. Not trying to start anything at all either. Hopefully if anything this clears the call up. Best of luck to both teams going forward.
  5. BigRV good point about playing without 2 two of your best players. Your line is HUGE, no doubt but you have to give Bluefield’s defensive line at least a little credit on the job they did throughout the night. Keep in mind Bluefield was without I. Johnson who is only one of the top rated corner backs in the country and on the offensive side of the ball has a little to say as well. Bluefield was also without their starting safety R. Brown and a couple of other tough kids. So, you are right on the “candy and nuts” but this game could have clearly gone either way in a hurry. Congrats to LB on getting it done though and good luck to both teams the rest of the season.
  6. Sounds like it could be a rainy night in Daleville. Not that LB needs any additional help to take care of business tonight but the weather certainly will not help the Beavers any. Could be a longer night then originally planned for the Beavs. Hope they give them all they want and more with no injuries to either side.
  7. You all will see about “high power” transfer when they are able to move Devin back to slot and have Jamir throwing darts. I guess sometimes moving Devin back to QB in certain situations. Jamir is an excellent quarterback and this will do wonders for their TEAM and to me that makes him a “high power” addition for Graham. I didn’t necessarily mean individually “high power”. I am talking team dynamics and possibilities that he can bring to the offense. I also agree and don’t like the transferring mid season and being eligible immediately. I guess it is what it is... Good luck to him and the team going forward.
  8. It will be a “high power” transfer when they are able to move some positions around on offense. And the transfer is very solid FYI😱
  9. Perfect time for this thread. Word on the street is Graham is getting ready to get a high power transfer this coming week which could REALLY help Graham out tremendously if he is eligible to play this season?!?!
  10. Who all does Bluefield have on the line besides Martin? D. Flack 6’6 340 D. Hairston 6’1 318 M. Peters 6’7 319 E. Powell 5’10 290 T. Parks 5’9 305 G. Jordan 5’10 255 L. Cartwright 5’11 280 And several other young guys who haven’t had an opportunity yet. Should be interesting but there are definitely other guys on the line that will be hungry to help Martin out.
  11. Alright everyone so we are less then a week away from the big one. For those of you that care, what are your thoughts/predictions now that preseason is over?

  13. The observations from Bluefield and Pulaski were pretty much what was expected. The offense was bland and not going to open it up the entire time with teams scouting etc. Granted the offensive line play could have been better but the Beavers were without one of their main studs (6’7 319 OT), which would have obviously helped out the situation. They also had 4-5 kids on the sidelines with injuries, all of which will be starters on the team. Pulaski looks like they will have a nice season and could make some noise this year. Last observation, when people see the final score was 12-7. On the 10 and outs, Bluefield didn’t score which was fairly concerning and Pulaski had 2 TD’s. 1 of the TD’s was more of 2 point conversion type heave with a nice catch in the end zone. On the final part of scrimmage (move the chains), the Beavers looked totally different on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball and that portion of scrimmage was 7-0 Beavers. Just a friendly observation from a local sports fan. There are definitely plenty of areas on Bluefield's squad to shore up before the season opener but I for one am fairly confident that will happen. Especially when the kids that were out are back on the field.
