  1. It was not a late hit please note the pic of that play
  2. Rv played Grundy who has a 9 game schedule for the same reason so what is the next level tiebreaker
  3. Grundy only had around 140 yards on them
  4. I think the yardage was around 420 for union and 200 for central Union also had 11 penalties for 110 yards
  5. Everyone struggled with Wise the last few years it had less to do with Union and more to do with Central having a really good team. Wise IS NOT as good as they have been the last several years (don't take me wrong they are are not a bad team but defiantly not one that should cause any issues for Union) Union is better on the Line and has more athletes so long as Union does not allow this game to become one in which passions are limited to 5 per team then I think Union wins easily however if the game is shortened by one or both teams Central's chances get better
  6. I think Union win this one 35 - 14 IMHO Unions only head scratcher loss was to GateCity and that one I mark up to 3 things (1)GC being better than expected (2) The Graham Loss hangover playing head games with Union (3) Unions Time chewing Offence which is great when it keeps you in games that you should not be in but Bad when it keeps lesser team in the game with you. I think Union is 21 points better than Central I think Union finishes 7-3 I think Union will be a really tough out for anyone in the playoffs
  7. Not picking I just like stats do you have the breakdown between O'Quinn and Creasy? Passing Yards, Passing TDs, Attempts/Completions, Rushing Yards and TDs with Attempts? Not picking which one is the best QB but given that thy seem to be the 2 top QBs in SWVA over the last 2 years it would be fun to follow there progress over there careers.
  8. Big game for both teams and a big measuring stick. 1) Will RV continue to be a tough run stopping team? It is no secret that Union will try to eat the clock and Limit RVs opportunities, Union has been a big play running team this season so at this point so 3 yards and a cloud of rubber pellets are alottle new to this years team (That being said I am sure that there coach will have them ready to go) 2) Will Union drop more into coverage or bring extra pass rushers and try to play man? More to the point will Union play there base personnel running 6 or 7 in the Box will get Unions secondary killed this week One think RV does well is run multiple formations with there same personnel so it is tougher for teams to adjust personnel based on formation 3) What is the weather looking like this Friday? Rain and Wind may change the dynamics of this game
  9. GC is an up and coming team, Union is a team that has a lot of young players that looked above expectations in the eairly part of the season the loss to Graham was tough and it is entirely possible that a young team did not bounce back great from that situation. Love it or hate it This years Union team is a lot like many of Tom Turner's APPY teams in that they have an Offence that can keep them in the game with anyone and beat a more "skilled" especially in adverse weather conditions BUT the one draw back is that sometimes it allows teams that you should be able to put away to stay in the game.
  10. On the year so far Burton is Averaging 190 yards on the ground Ridgeview Held them to -15 Grundy is Averaging 289 RV held them to 153 Central is Averaging 241 RV held them to 194\ Lee is Averaging 159 RV Held them to 123 From what I have seen so far this season RV does play the run tough but tend to give up one or 2 big runs(Plays) per game.
  11. If anything I would like to see RV use motion more to pull the D out of coverages and generally make it tougher to set up a game plan. Having a good run game is something that they did not have last season and I love that it is another tool in the toolbox.
  12. After 4 games RV has a yardage breakdown of 51% Run 49% pass you cant get much more balanced than that. 2 most impressive stats behind that is a 66% complexation percentage on the year and a 13.2 yard Average per pass ATTEMPT (20.1 per completion) In my opinion if RV can eliminate the turnovers they will be a tough out for anyone
  13. IDK that you can say Grundy and Central had no problem running on them. Grundy had 153 Yards on 38 Carries and Central had 194 yards on 29 Carries (89 on 1 play) I don't have all of Grundy's stats But Central is averaging 241 per game on the ground so RV allowed 80% of there Average Is the Run D questionable....(Maybe but I don't think you can say so based on those 2 games)
  14. Agreed But if they are averaging 416 yards a game (455 if you do not count the 1st game in which they were only able to play a half) while giveing away 3 possessions a game if they clean them up it could be impressive
  15. On the year Union is 5 for 17 (29.41%) for 45 yards 0 TDs and 1 INT
  16. Found the following Lee on the year is 30 for 62 (48.39%) for 500 Yards (8.04 Yards per Attempt) 7 TDs vs 0 Ints Passing game accounts for 49% of there yards lost 3 Fumbles and are Averaging 337.33 Total yards per game RV on the year is 32 for 48 (66.67%) for 600 Yards (12.5 Yards per Attempt) 7 TDs ve 5 INTs Passing game accounts for 48% of there yards lost 3 Fumbles and are Averaging 416.33 Total yards per game To me stacking up stats Lee "Looks" legit with some nice numbers vs a solid schedule (outside of Eastside) RV averaging 416 Yards per game (With the Burton Game being called at halftime) is impressive but avgering nearly 3 turnovers a game is concerning
  17. Honestly I feel like the line is better than last season and no longer a glaring weakness. For all the talk on Grundy playing tighter than expected RV held Grundy's leading rusher to 60 yards on 20 carries and as a team out rushed Grundy on fewer carries. The DLine seems to be a by comity situation which at this point looks ok there strength on D is at Line Backer where they are as good as anyone in the region. Central is a much more dynamic offence that Grundy so RV will not be able to load the box so we may see a more fair idea of what RV's Run D looks like after tonight
  18. As of last week everyone was coming to workouts so I would think everything is good.
  19. I think Ridgeview has Galax have there 1st scrimmage this season together. If true it should be a high quality scrimmage for both teams
  20. Counts

    7 on 7

I think that if that bunch can stay healthy they will be tough to deal with
