At Union, baseball is considered to be the 3rd sport of the boys big 3. That isn't the case at Battle for instance where it's 1st. Kelly and PV never had to worry about being 3rd in the school hierarchy for of the big 3 in baseball. PV it was 2nd to football. Kelly it was 1st and wasn't close.

They did have some good talent there in about a 3 year span together but overall it wasn't hugely different. Tester is one heckuva coach I don't care how anyone slices it.

I didn't see that Beaver team play but I would be hard pressed to pick against the Vikings at that time. They were possibly the best time in the lower 4 divisions in the state that year.

I don't know that I would want every postseason matchup to be a series, but I do kind of wish state play was. At least the finals.

I wish the VA districts would do similar to what Science Hill and DB done this week. I know it's different than playing 40+ compared to our 21, but play the same district team in the same week moving forward. It would lead seeing some different pitching matchups at times and possibly not have as much impact on unbalanced district schedules at times based on who may be playing better than someone else on a given year.

Saw the last play of the Battle/Union game. As a fan of aggressive base running that was great execution by Battle. Sometimes you have to take chances to beat good teams and Battles risk payed off. Should be another fun matchup between the due later this year.

Centrals question mark right now is Dales health. She's had some issues coming out of basketball that is hurting her on the mound currently. They also had a starter leave the team last week. With Westin starting to get healthy at Lee they should be able to distance themselves from Battle and Central.

I won't say it fully surprised me to see a run rule game. Lebanon is really good. Them and Lee should be the top 2 in 2D.

I believe Hamilton and Carico have been offered, but not committed. Id be stunned if Bond doesn't get an offer as well but he has another year over those two of making any decisions.
