  1. They are meeting July 27th. The board moved the date up. There will be no football in the fall
  2. Personnel Changes has Thad resigning as Teacher on 6/17/2020 and also resigning as Athletic Director. Adam Davis also resigning as Assistant HS Football
  3. Keep mixing up the running game with Steele and Webb and I think Richlands will journey on. It opens them up to get the outside passing game going. Mance is magic come playoff time.
  4. It will be like last year. The Bulldogs are talented but Bluefield is LOADED! I'm going with... Beavers- 66 Bulldogs- 18
  5. It’s safe to say Richlands head coach Fred Phillips was impressed with what he saw from the G-Men. “We caught a whirlwind. Graham talked about winning the state,” Phillips said. “They should win the state. They will kill Gate City, they are the best team I have seen... Well, Well, Well....
  6. Anyone remember that quote that Richlands coach said after Graham beat them? Seems he may not have been far off after all. :)
  7. Personally I would hate to think I had to play Richlands in the first round or any round for that matter. The way the cheat sheets are looking, they could beat anyone in the top 8.
  8. I agree 100%. Tazewell will play tough hard nosed football again. I would love to see them pull out the last two games. It would be a heck of a year for those young men.
  9. attrition is taking it's toll on Tazewell at this point. These kids have given it their all so far and have a ton of things to be proud of but losing players and basically playing from start to finish is catching up to them. Blevins may be back this week, I haven't heard yet. Tazewell will play tough again but Fizer and McNutt are really tough to handle and it could be a big night for both of them. I would say something like: 35-13 or so Grundy. Tazewell vs Lebanon will be a good one and I think Tazewell will end the season with a win.
  10. This is a toss up game for sure. Tazewell beats Montcalm in a scrimmage Hurley beats Montcalm Tazewell beats Riverview Hurley beats Riverview Who knows. Tazewell has some play makers and they really don't quit playing. I've been impressed with the way they keep going for 4 quarters. If it is a close game in the 4th, Tazewell could pull it out. Covering Mullins is a tough task and if Blevins gets a little time to get him the ball......... I hope the young Tazewell team can get some great fan support, it's the first home game for them after a tough 5 road game schedule.
  11. Just stop at Bud's and get you a bucket of chicken before heading over the mountain. Or one of those incredible corn dogs. Makes me hungry thinking about Bud's deli.
  12. I give Tazewell the edge in this one. The young Dogs get there first win of the season.
  13. I didn't think Tazewell looked too bad. They are very, very young with Freshmen playing on both sides of the ball. Any type of injury to a starter will be a killer for them because of such a lack of depth. Line play was surprisingly good but they are small. Plenty of speed on the team just hope they can get in the open. They did tackle and that was an improvement over last year.
  14. 1. Richlands 2. Graham 3. Marion 4. VA High 5. Lebanon 6. Tazewell I honestly think Marion and Graham could be a toss up. What does Marion return this year? They were pretty good last year and if some of the same kids are back, they could surprise some people. Graham has the play makers though so who knows. Mance will just figure out a way to win, like he always does. The Bulldogs are just too young this year to finish any better.
