Alur Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 I would assume McCracken is up there in scoring now, with 6 total TD's last Friday. Quote
beano5 Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 those arent right...Steve has over 500 yards...after this weeks game and had over 400 before the game... Quote
bluenecknation Posted September 19, 2006 Author Report Posted September 19, 2006 beano straight out of the bristol paper friday before the games Quote
beano5 Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 well i talk to Steve everyday and i know for a fact he had over 400 after the Blacksburg game...so maybe they got wrong information..and i talked to him today and he has over 500 now Quote
bluenecknation Posted September 19, 2006 Author Report Posted September 19, 2006 no idea on yards but someone a few weeks ago asked for stats & that was the only place i knew where they was at. like i stated was right from the bristol paper. guess coaches or someone involved are reporting the stats to them? Quote
ghs73 Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 but you have to remember the bristol paper does not cover blfd va hardly at all and i would call ito question there account of ghs players. i would take the word of a player from ghs over the bristol paper. Quote
bluenecknation Posted September 19, 2006 Author Report Posted September 19, 2006 ghs73 agree w/ ypu on that Quote
VHSLhelper Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Here's the stats from the Telegraph : 156, 2 TD's - Blfd - - , 0 TD's - Mart 206, 2 TD's - B'burg 100, 2 TD's - Marion =========== 462, 6 TD's Neither Bluefield, Martinsville or Roanoke papers had any stats from the Mart. game. In an earlier post, Parsons said that 106.3 said he had 32 vs. Mart, which would give Brown 498. Quote
parsons Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 [ QUOTE ] In an earlier post, Parsons said that 106.3 said he had 32 vs. Mart, which would give Brown 498. [/ QUOTE ] that is correct. i think some graham fans have disagreed with the bluefield paper stating that brown had 156 yards in the beaver game.....they say he had 177 in that game....have no idea who is right on that one.... the richlands blue tornado website says caleb jennings now has 520 yards on 52 carries for a 10 ypc average.... Quote
Bulldogs52 Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 i say who gives a damn who has more yards, i belive this says it all Richlands 4-0 and Graham 2-2. Big deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
beano5 Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 RECORDS MEAN NOTHING!!! how many times do i have to say that?? its all about heart and desire out on that field Friday night...NOT RECORDS!!! Quote
beano5 Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 he did have 177 against Bluefield.. Quote
VHSLhelper Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Well, fans can say whatever they want. Most papers that publish stats gets/makes a copy after the game from whoever keeps the stats for the team. Therefore, whatever is published is USUALLY the official numbers (and trying to get them changed is useless - just ask any b'ball player/parent). That said, I saw 2 diff. numbers for McCoy last month - Shelby Valley's local paper (Pikeville) only gave him 440. And last year, when Will Walker ran wild against Northwood, the Bristol & Roanoke papers disagreed with the distance of 3 of the TD runs. All this is why I've never attempted to track stats. Quote
jets Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 everyone knows those stats aint right, tj raz had 189 just friday night and he aint listed Quote
beano5 Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 cause hes no where close to Steve and Caleb... Quote
football08 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 376 yards in 3 games...7.1 per carry..not close? Quote
beano5 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 not when Steve and Caleb both have over 500 Quote
football08 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Well if you are talking about after last night....now he has 470 Quote
bluekick Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Jennings is pushing 700 after last night. Quote
techivyleague Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 And averaging about 10 yards per carry to boot! Quote
