Yep, The Roanoke Times did an article on them where they think they can compete for a AAA title. Semi-Finals in the morning will be Rockin!

Just a note, JJ Jude from Johnson Central KY is a heck of a football player. I hear the stats they say he had and it was crazy. IDK if this is true, but they said he was one of the top rushers in the country with over 3500 yards rushing and had 560 and 6 tds in one game. 171 is crazy here too. one semi is McClanahan vs Peterson 1 and 2 in AA rankings the other is Jude vs Adams from FC a 2x AAA Runner-up.

Ive heard the same scoop on Jude with slightly different numbers, but when they are that big it doesn't really matter haha...Good thing hear I believe Tylers wrestling stats are a little better than his haha two very good semis to watch at 171 this morning though. By far the best weight class in the tourney this year.

 

Also, not to be a dick, but Franklin County may have been quoted as saying they have a shot at a AAA title, but that's got to just be the coaches doing one of a few things, 1) Getting their kids pumped up, 2) Getting their fans excited, or 3) Being the dumbass that he is and not knowing that Cox and Colonial Forge are ranked in the Country and are loaded, especially Cox. Christiansburg couldn't beat them this year with they guys they have. Franklin County will be lucky to finish Top 10 at AAA state.

 

Lastly, Franklin County won't beat a bunch of A and AA schools tonight for the title, it'll be Grundy then Franklin County but I mean hell when you're barking about winning a AAA state title and you can't be (technically a A) AA school for a tournament title, you may want to rethink your predictions on your season outcome.

Franklin County finished 55th at Beast behind:Christiansburg,Cox , Forge, Matoaca, Kellam, Forest Park, Kempsville, Fauquier, Robinson, St. Christopher's, and Millbrook. I would be surprised if they finished in top 3. They may have a better Dual team we'll have to see.

the jude kid must be a beast..tough loss for tyler.

 

also, looks like easy sailin' next year and beyond in group A considering Glenvar won the state championship last year..

Jude was a handful. Wasn't much wrestling until the last minute.

Tyler got taken down at 1:26, escaped at :42 and was taken down again at about :27.

Nothing happened in the 2nd, as Tyler wouldn't let JJ up. We got an escape near the edge w/1:22 left to make it 4-2. JJ let his guard down and stayed down, Tyler lunged/jumped to try and, I think, flip him and ... I coundn't tell what exactly happened, but JJ went OoB holding his left elbow... coulda been a knee that got it. Took him a minute to shake it off. Then about :30 of great battling as Tyler tried to get a takedown, but just couldn't do it. JJ got hit with a stalling with :04 left to get the 4-3 margin.
