All I can offer is 1 Corinthians 9:24 - "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize." The prize listed there is obviously Heaven, but it works in an athletic context also. Richlands, play in such a way as to win this game. Shorten the game. Make nothing easy. Secure the football.
