What?!

I thought Abingdon's behavior was caused by GC.

So by this logic since another teams misbehaves it's completely o.k. for Vermillion to morph into a lunatic? He yelled and threatened the opposing coach and players. He did the same thing against Wise Central. It's not his place to coach anyone else but his own team.

Once again for you pea brain liberal minded idiots. Vermillion hasn't/didn't threaten anyone. He simply expressed his dislike to the other COACH for the intentional fouls that took place against his player(s). Scotty is a very laid back man, to make him mad/upset you really have to hit a nerve. The man was simply trying to protect his players from getting hurt from someone dumb enough to want to cause injury to someone else.

Let me go back and read my post and see if I said that. Hold on.

Nope Not there.

I do NOT think Scotty should have handled the situation that way.

It is pretty obvious, TO ME, that Central & Abingdon had a "let's get physical with GC and try to get under their skin" type of game plan..........which is perfectly fine with me. Is a legitimate game plan. I have NO issues with that.

We could debate "physical game plan" and "cheap shots" for days. No need to do that.

Abingdon was called for a couple of intentional fouls. The players were punished according to the rules of the game.

Scotty drew a technical foul. He was punished according to the rules of the game.

It is NOT Scotty's job to coach the other team. Part of his job IS to protect his own players. Believe you would agree with me on that.

I think Scotty should have called a time out, called the officials over, and requested they call over the Abingdon coach. You then have a discussion about the way the game is developing.

I think part of the Abingdon players' actions were just "heat of the moment" things. You know, they were not thinking very clearly. I also think part of Scotty's actions was the same thing.

Cmon man liberal isn't always a bad thing. I'm a liberal, I don't agree with everything liberals do but do you agree with everything that conservatives do?

There's no way you can defend the actions of the GC coach. You don't cuss at kids and you don't try to fight the other coaching staff. It's pretty simple. Not to mention, this behavior has happened before. He should not be coaching after continuing to act like this.

I'm calling bull on this. I've known Scotty for nearly 30 years and I have never heard him cuss once. Did he get angry? Of course, wouldn't you if one of your players was getting fouled like that and the offending players coach didn't have enough class to get him to the bench and tell him to settle down? And I doubt Scotty wanted to "fight" anyone. He's one of the most laid back persons around and if he gets to the fighting point, well, it's probably gonna happen. lol

I think all of this is GC tinted glasses. The man literally has attempted to attack Abingdon coaches at least twice. I vividly remember him charging after B.J. Lesley a few years ago when we had them beat. Police also had to escort our team and coaches out to the buses because of the craziness. I can tell you for a fact he was cussing and was fired up the other night. I'm not saying he didn't have a right to be upset, but come on.

I think at this point in the season refs need to pay special and close attention to flagrant fouls. This is the time of year when special players become targets of hard fouls in an attempt to cool them off.
