trumpet1988 289 Report Share Posted September 3, 2017 Not certain about what LCC has. I think they are 0-3? Not sure. I will go on a limb and say Union rolls 42-14.
jarhead24219 440 Report Share Posted September 3, 2017 They are 0-3, can't imagine what our game plan will be. I hope Turner is fine but my gut says he is resting this week regardless what the test shows.the backup will hand the ball off and some play action

VA teams should never go to KY unless its for a pre-season scrimmage. Unchained
Unchained 587 Report Share Posted September 4, 2017 Central fans know this too well. Hit Williams in backfield and both knees went down. 2 secs later he leans over goal line and they give it to him and they win in OT BearDawg
CriticalNoise 182 Report Share Posted September 4, 2017 Union has to win by 2 TD's or the ref's screw them outta this one. I think 35-14. I say let turner rest and put #10 at the helm. Qualls can throw the rock, and has some good speed. UniON_FoOtBaLL
CriticalNoise 182 Report Share Posted September 4, 2017 I just hope it doesn't turn out like last year's game. That was almost a bench clearing mess.

There's a reason Graham has historically gone very deep into TN to find opponents as opposed to hopping the KY line. KY has homerism the likes of which we cannot comprehend. swva_havok_fan 1,261 Report Share Posted September 4, 2017 Yeah, even though we pulled away from Shelby Valley in the 4th quarter the other night, the refs sure kept Shelby in it as long as they could.

I think Union will smack them all up and down the field regardless of officiating. But I can agree, KY officials are horrible when it comes to out of state play. Unionguy_2017 288 Report Share Posted September 4, 2017 Just because of all the nonsense that happened last year, and the inevitable officiating that's gonna take place, I hope Union hangs 60 on them. Realistically though, I think 41-14 is more likely. jarhead24219 and onewarrior2
CriticalNoise 182 Report Share Posted September 5, 2017 I say put up 2 quick scores and bench at least Mitchell. Everyone knows him in this area and his capabilities, and I have a gut feeling they will try and target him with cheap shots. That may be bad/wrong of me to say, but just my .02 Deleted Account
goose111874 967 Report Share Posted September 5, 2017 Seems like last time we went to Letcher we had over 150 penalty yards so don't expect much difference this year. Hopefully the game don't get to chippy this year with the fans all being on the same side. At least we'll outnumber them if it gets ugly. When Haysi went there in 2005, there was a visitors side if I recall... I don't think there were many seats, but there were some. Now they don't have any? GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted September 6, 2017 Unless they put up portable bleachers on the visitors side, only one side to sit on.

jarhead24219 440 Report Share Posted September 6, 2017 Last year was bad, I worked the game and the LC player used a racial slur at our players, later a cheap shot and a player thrown out with a bench clearing . I entered the field as a cop but the refs restored order. I understand that LC coached told coach Turner he was sorry about the player, and told him he had been ejected before and that he was a senior. We will see if the refs want to call the game or be part of it
onewarrior2 23 Report Share Posted September 7, 2017 Passing through Whitesburg yesterday and noticed on the sign that this Friday against Union is going to be LCC's homecoming game. Wonder where the logic in that was. I hope the U drops 60+ on them. BearDawg and jarhead24219
GC_Quincy 582 Report Share Posted September 7, 2017 GC played in a jamboree over there several years ago. They were hitting people 3-5 yards out of bounds every chance they got and it wasn't called one time. Alcoa lost at Corbin a couple of weeks ago. If that tells you anything about KY (pun intended) officiating.
BigWinners 1,643 Report Share Posted September 7, 2017 I can't wait for this series to be over. Union gains nothing, and there's huge risks. Always dirty play, poorly officiated over there, etc.. Schedule a TN team or another VA team, no more KY teams. GoBearsGo, jarhead24219 and Unchained

I'm sure Travis was expecting to get some good power points from them but it hasn't worked out. Maybe get Sullivan North back until they close.
