cavalieratmosphere 6 Report Share Posted October 9, 2017 Right now, there's a debate at UVA-Wise between Ed Gillespie (R) and Ralph Northam (D), to determine who will be the next governor of Virginia. This thread is mostly for just the general election coming up this November. What do you all think?
Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted October 10, 2017 The Unholy Trinity in NOVA flip this state blue. Again.
Bearcat Bob 491 Report Share Posted October 23, 2017 I travel in NOVA almost daily of late. If yard signs are any indication, Gillespie is wasting his money. I mean there are NO Gillespie signs to be seen. Looks like the energy is for Northam...unfortunately. So it probably means that Gillespie wins 90 counties but looses because of NOVA. Single A west 113 Report Share Posted October 26, 2017 Hope ed wins, when he ran last against Warner in the senate race poles had him 10 points down the weekend before the election. He almost won.
Bearcat Bob 491 Report Share Posted November 6, 2017 Since that Northam ad ran depicting Gillespie supporters as chasing down immigrant children in a 4X4 with a Confederate Flag, NUMEROUS Gilespie signs have been popping up, even in NOVA. Maybe there is hope... swva_havok_fan and Deleted Account
cavalieratmosphere 6 Author Report Share Posted November 8, 2017 Northam, Fairfax, and Herring have been elected to be governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general respectively. In addition, the House of Delegates could possibly flip to have a Democratic majority. As of this post, the Dems only need to win 4 races to get the majority in the House of Delegates

When Republicans have done well, they have held firmly in the Tidewater, and Gillespie dropped the ball there considerably.
