Maybe if we all collaborate and give the records of our school that we follow, maybe we can come up with a district standings table.

Ridgeview is 0-7 in the district in baseball and 3-4 in the district in softball.

Abingdon Baseball is 7-0 in the district and 12-2 overall.

I haven't seen anything in the BHC lately about softball record.

I did find this link but not sure how often it is updated:

here is the Standings in the Mountain 7 conference for baseball per the Coalfield 5/3/19

1 Abingdon 9-0 13-2   Abingdon should be 10-0 14-2 with their win over Battle

2 John Battle 8-1 10-6  Battle record is 8-2 and 10-7 now

3 Central 5-3 8-7   Central record should be 5-4 and 8-8 with the loss on 5/2/19 to Gate City 3-2

4 Union 4-5 9-6   Union had a non district game against Eastside on 5/1/19 and their record should be 4-5 and 10-6

5 Gate City 4-5 8-7  Gate City record is now 5-5 and 9-7

6 Lee 1-8 3-10

7 Ridgeview 0-9 3-12

Hope this helps everyone, but looks like the 1 and 2 spots are set for the conference tournament and its a dog race for the 3-5 spot

If my research is correct, the Southwest District baseball standings look like this heading into the games today:

Lebanon 8-0, 15-1

Virginia High 8-0, 10-7

Graham 4-4, 8-10

Tazewell 3-6, 9-8

Richlands 3-7, 6-12

Marion 0-9, 1-15

Graham in the top half of the SWD standings in baseball.  That’s literally unbelievable to me.

Apparently not.  Odder still, Graham’s positioned fairly well to be there for a while.

They are very much in danger of not making the region playoffs due to point system. Grayson County can seed 2-4 in region, and tazewell has more points than graham at this moment.

The fact that Graham’s even in that conversation is a point of personal pride for me, as someone who played baseball for Graham.  Graham hasn’t made a regional appearance since 1991, and has been a doormat virtually since (except for a couple .500-level teams in 2004 and 2005).

Graham lost games early on which really put them in a bind in terms of points, teams they’d probably beat today.  But in any event, I have hope for that program again, and I haven’t been able to say that in 15 years.

Graham 10-10 after winning yesterday and today.
