REGION 2C BOYS SOCCER: The crossbar has been Martinsville's biggest enemy. They've had 2 great attempts - a header by Aiden Self and a 1-on-1 play with Jaedyn McKinney - both hit the top and miss by inches, Bulldogs are pressuring and putting up tons of shots to no avail.

With 10 mins to play Martinsville can't buy a goal. 12 shots this half have all been saved or wide or barely missed. Bulldogs goalie Michael Devora has made 3 great saves to keep the score tied at 1-1

TOTALLY not a SWVA or VA Score but since I've been posting scores and looking at this screen for sometime...I’m gonna post the following...

My local high school, North Gwinnett HS, won the Georgia Girls State Soccer AAAAAAA  Championship recently. They beat Lambert HS  (Forsyth County ) who was undefeated for the season. Lambert had allowed only 3 goals for the year and was ranked nationally as the #2 soccer team in the nation. (BTW the first head FB coach at Lambert was a Richlands' grad)

After the NG win,  Lambert dropped to #18 in the national poll and N. Gwinnett entered the USA TODAY rankings at #15.  Parkview HS, (also, a Gwinnett school) dropped from # 20 to #22 after being beaten by N. Gwinnett in the semi finals.
