Jollay, living rent free 120 Report Share Posted July 30, 2019 All right peps let me know how you think GW will do this upcoming season? I have been to a few 7/7’s have some good young talent. But everyone looks good in shorts and helmets
footballfanatic 59 Report Share Posted August 1, 2019 I predict GW will win the Mt Empire. Galax will be tough test for them but they should lose 1 maybe 2 games. A lot of young talent to mix with veteran leadership. With Chilhowie losing a majority of talent from the past two state runner up teams the maroons could easily get the state semis this year. Gridiron60 2,555 Report Share Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) George Wythe is normally solid. They'll probably win Mt. Empire if they can beat Galax. (There fixed it 😂 for all those Maroon Tide fans). footballfanatic 59 Report Share Posted August 3, 2019 did galax lose anyone of importance off last years team? GW returns pretty much everyone and has added some young talent. should be interesting
OLINE77 50 Report Share Posted August 3, 2019 Galax should win the MED especially with adding Denver Brown. George Wythe should win 7 -9 games and should still be in the playoffs when Thanksgiving rolls around

Aside from two critical errors in the kicking game that gifted Galax 14 points, Fort was outplaying Galax until Brown’s injury. One at the very end of the first half, the other at the very beginning of the second half. That would have been a lot to overcome but Brown’s injury took the wind out of their sails. I look forward to seeing how Dixon utilizes Brown’s skill-set. Two other players transferred from Fort Chiswell to Galax as well. I saw them Friday afternoon while volunteering at band camp with my daughter. Not sure of the names but one is long and lean with very good hands. Single A west 113 Report Share Posted August 4, 2019 He didn’t run inside against gw but other games he ran hard couldn’t ask more of him. Even with running out of split veer and d’s knowing where he would be running
Jags52 346 Report Share Posted August 6, 2019 GW has a lot of talent at the skill positions as always but if any team that can control the line of scrimmage will give them a run for their money
