P.S. If you are  GW fan and driving to Narrows, I assume most would know, but some of you may have not been over that way on 460. If the speed limit says 35, go 33. If it says 40, go 38. If you do what's commonly done across the country and go 4-5 over, you are done. If you go 1 over, consider it 50-50. That's one of Virginias biggest speed traps along with Route 58 around Emporia.

P.P.S.  Past Princeton, the speed limit is SIXTY-five! But a few miles later, when you get to the foot of the mtn. @ Glen Lyn, it drops to THIRTY-five, and you have a 'tight-ish' right-hand curve onto the bridge over the New River. To the right of the bridge is the old ApCo power plant that woulda turned 100 this year.

The speed limit drops to 50 in Glen Lyn. However, they are currently doing construction on the west bound side of the bridge so it may currently be 35.

It goes from 65 to 50 to 60 to 55 within 2 miles after crossing the state line lol

I was making the weekly drive home from Richlands to VT one night and counted. From Claypool Hill to Blacksburg there are something like 23 speed limit changes on 460. It's WILD.

This.  Go under the speed limit through Narrows.  There is a cop there about 99.9% of the time and they WILL write you up for going 1 over.

460 East from 77. About 2 miles past Rich Creek, speed limit drops to (I think) 40. You'll go around a curve & under a bridge. Turn left at the traffic light just ahead and loop back up onto the bridge. Go 'straight' about 3/4 mile. It's on the left behind the library on Mary Street.

Or, go up 77 to Rocky Gap and take Rt. 61 down Wolf Creek right to the stadium.

Hasn't been the same since they changed the pump for the sprinkler system back in the mid 90's.  They went from a pump that had a lot more ass pumping straight from the creek to a much weaker pump using town water.
