Hokie1Pokie 350 Report Share Posted November 20, 2019 You will see a drop off at Salem (for their standards) over the next 5 years. Megs was an incredible coach and actually a better one than Willis White. Salem's dominance will ease up some from where they have historically been. They struck it rich hiring the former Salem QB (Megs) and this guy was just on another level for High School Coaches. Holter could be another great one, but I just doubt he will be able to replicate what Magenbauer did.
Stranger danger 41 Report Share Posted November 21, 2019 Then why was Magenbauer never very successful at Glenvar'?

Clifford has turned that program around and made them constant contenders.
Hokie1Pokie 350 Report Share Posted November 22, 2019 Meg's coached at Glenvar for 2 seasons. Glenvar had 7 consecutive non-winning seasons prior to Meg's taking over as Head Coach. He went 7-3 his first year and 6-4 during the next which was his last season. For the first time in 7 years, Glenvar not only had 1 winning season, but it had two in a row at the hands of a young-newly started Head Coach.
