Point being, we should have played football this fall even if we limited attendance & only district games. I have nothing for VHSL & Billy Haun at this point.

The VHSL is completely controlled by the state administration. The decision or answer of YES or NO for football in the fall has already been decided for them, and decided ABOVE them.

Our soccer and football coaches have actually collaborated about the possibility of using this situation to get artificial turf.  We think that's actually an attainable long term goal -- but it's unlikely that we could have it in place by February.

I think Volunteer on the Tennessee side made the decision a month before the season started to switch to turf and by week 3 it was installed and ready for play.

One of the major issues for the Spring is attendance. Presently, we are only allowed to admit 250 for a game, THIS INCLUDES players, coaches, cheerleaders, band, officials, school worker (ticket takers, supervision, clock operator, chain gang). If this is the case, the number of spectators will be diminished GREATLY. The hope is that the number will go to 1,000 to at least assure parents a ticket to a game.

This also creates an issue with how many tickets are afforded the visiting team and the home team. Presently, with the 250 limit, this is going to be very difficult.
