There are 5 very good teams in the Cumberland.  Castlewood isn't terrible but injuries have plagued them and are well coached.  TW had Burton on the ropes last night until midway into the third and had problems when Burton began pressing.  A 7 point TW lead turned into a 10 point Burton lead quick.  RC and Burton split last year.  RC hopes to make that happen again Friday in Norton.

Twin Springs, Rye Cove, Gate City, pretty dang tough basketball county there in Scott County.

RC is pretty blessed right now.  They will lose a ton off of this years team and will play a lot of freshmen and sophomores next year but that bunch is talented also and should have RC near the top of the district again after a years absence.

TS returns a lot of their minutes on next years team.  Their JV isnt bad either.

There's def good talent around Chavez but losing him is a huge blow to any 1A team. He's a force. It's just natural they will take a step back the year after he leaves but it seems like t the program is going in the right direction
