Very young team with a brutal schedule that’s gotten better as the season progressed. Lost to Pulaski by 3, Salem, PH Roanoke, Lord Botetourt, Hidden Valley, and Franklin County. Weatherman 135 Report Share Posted November 13, 2021 I couldn't figure out Richlands' defensive scheme on that last drive by Ridgeview. They rushed 3 down linemen all inside the tackles, being blocked by 5 offensive lineman, so no rush on the QB at all. RV QB is too good to let him just sit back and throw darts at targets. Yes, they’re improved and with much better coaching but they aren’t as good as many believed them to be. I think the caliber of teams they played also hurt them. A weak schedule can be detrimental come playoff time. Congratulations to VA High on turning the proverbial corner from the past few seasons & congratulations to Union on the win.
