Graham's pass defense will get tested, but assuming (if) Graham wins, you want that going into the Appo game.  This can help round out Grahams defense in preparation for a team that can run it and throw it in Appo. Ridgeview has very good athletes that force you to cover them in open space. In prep for Appo, you benefit more by playing Ridgeview than you would from playing Central.

Same applies to Ridgeview. Your getting a glimpse or lots of similarities with Graham as you will Appo.

They gotta get past Glenvar first.

I believe this is the first time Graham & Ridgeview have ever played. I have to digest today’s game & last night’s Ridgeview win before commenting on this game.

Synopsis:  RV QB is very good on the ground and through the air.  He is the most effective runner.  All State talent at WR in #7….he doesn't need a step but can get it…tore up Bluefield for 200 yards.  His biggest problem is offense forgets about him a lot.  He has faced brackets most of year but RV has adjusted by putting #13 out wide and he killed Central and is a threat.  #5 is a good WR as well and will make plays.  They will sling it and absolutely throw deep often.  Oline seems better at pass pro than run blocking.

Defense is underrated in M7, IMHO.  They aren’t necessarily big but are athletic and pursue well.  They’ll put #7 on Bradshaw and shade a safety.  Scrappy and probably more athletic than Union on both sides of ball but smaller.  Very inconsistent team tho’….pure definition of hot and cold.  Graham is a tough matchup for them but the will be fast and loose as the under-dog.

Bluefield did not plan well or adjust on defense against Ridgeview and it nearly cost them the game. I guarantee Rex & Snake will have Graham’s defense well prepared for Ridgeview and will make adjustments as needed. Graham’s defense is clicking on all cylinders right now. If Ridgeview slings it up deep too many times, Bradshaw will have at least one pick 6. Ridgeview should take advantage of Graham’s biggest weakness, the kickoff team. They haven’t cost us a game but in a close one, they could.

It will be a good matchup of Graham’s DBs and coverage vs RV’s WRs.  Hoping RV is overlooked.

Graham has been dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball lately.  7 tds on 7 drives with the starters in against Union is impressive.  Shutting down Lomax on the other side of the ball is equally as impressive.  Connor Roberts doesnt get as much recognition as he deserves because Meadows is out there, but he does a great job.  He is consistently good

Roberts does a great job on the field. He’s a definite asset. Graham is truly a team effort even though some obviously get more recognition than others, They all make it work when they’re on the field. They were like a well oiled machine yesterday.  I hate the Sawyers’s boy got injured. He had come a long way this season as far as improving.
