Up six under a minute to Go, Union let's it get to OT. Up three late in OT, Union doesn't foul kid sends it to double OT. JR can flat out shoot the ball but Union had them on the ropes and fell apart. A bad turnover under the JR basket was killer but the kidngot hammered and no call.

Credit JR in the 2nd OT, but that is a game Union let get away 2 times.  Union should have won that game.  Just a terrible way to lose like that.  Even by not falling in OT number 2, the 3 pointer hit was very well defended and absolute desperation wih the shooter shooting off one foot when he released it and fading to the right.  That shot doesn't go in again but 1 time out of 10 if the kid shot it again.  That's what sucks for Union.  I dont' buy the argument, "you make your own luck and there is no such thing as bad luck."  That's partially true, but the game is sometimes left to chance and it broke JR's way.

Absolutely. Union was down like 16-4 early, fought back, took lead, then had a crazy sequence of turnovers and missed shots to let JR get to OT then #10, helluva shooter, hits insane shot to send IT to second OT. Just brutal way to lose, Union had them on ropes and couldn't close.

The State Championship imo was played in the round of 16 in the Eastern Region Title Game with John Marshall and Greensville County.  A repeat of the state championship will be played again when the two meet shortly in the semifinals.

That wasn't State championship game the state championship was when JM decided to play this season.  Spoiler alert they'll probably win the next 10 also
