In the middle and one team don't have to go all the way to the other...sounds smart to me...it's a scrimmage after all

What time is Ridgeview vs Galax (playing at George Wythe) on the 12th?  I read where Richlands plays George Wythe (at George Wythe at 4pm).  I'm assuming all 4 teams will be at George Wythe that day.  Is Galax vs Ridgeview before Richlands vs GW, or is it After Richlands vs GW?  If Giles and Hidden Valley is on NFHS, I will watch it on my phone and probably head to George Wythe if all 4 of these teams are there.  I also see where Tazewell is at Radford on the same day at 7pm, so if anyone knows the Galax vs Ridgeview game time, please post it.  If it's before Richlands and GW play at 4 pm, then I might be able to swing heading over to Radford and Tazewell by 7pm, and watching the Bandana Bunch on my phone.  This would start me out of the gate with watching 8 teams on the 12th, and I'm all for it.  I'm sick of the summer with politics, war, economy, and no football.  I'm coming out of the gate early this year!

Yep, me too, but still not sure.  Will get an official answer on that tomorrow morning.  NFHS and the word put out for our scrimmage are 11th and 12th and don't match up.

We will see what Narrows has real quick.  First time facing Richlands on a football field at any level since the Bluefield Grid-o-rama in 1994.

Hard to tell what you have in a scrimmage though...coaches on both sides trying different stuff and players. But for the coaches a scrimmage is good so they can watch film and see what needs to ve done

I’ve never put a ton of weight on scrimmages or benefit games. The players have only had 2 weeks of practice and I’ve seen teams tear it up in the scrimmage and benefit then fall flat on their face week one and vise versa. There is also very little game planning if any at all that go into these things. I do agree with you though great for coaches to see what you have but if Richlands stomps narrows or the other way around don’t run down to the Bristol casino and put your next pay check on that team

Agree....a scrimmage for fans are just an early start to the real season and a social gathering

Also how long has the casino is Bristol been open? First I had heard about it was last night

About a month ago I guess. I actually went last night it was super crowded hard to get a seat at a table or a drink I would let it die down a little before you go check it out

I just watched Narrows against Pulaski on You Tube in Junior High from 2021 and Narrows junior high team has some pretty dang good athletes. They looked dang good against Pulaski.  But, the best junior High team I saw (2021) was Gate City.  I first thought it was a JV team initially when watching GC.

Giles and narrows both have good Jr high teams and athletes....just think if they were together....oh we can dream I guess

I thought it was a little much for an inter squad scrimmage after a week of practice but I wasn't gonna say anything

Apparently, some guy was drunk causing a scene and they were taking him out and found out he had a gun on him. They ended up canceling the fireworks. I'm not sure if the rest of it was cut short or not. If this information is inaccurate, someone from Richlands, please correct.
