Just to be clear, two Giles guy say that Giles talent is the same.  Hasn't changed a bit and the same it was 10 years ago, and the only issue at Giles is coaching.  That's your argument, and your argument is one held by maybe 1 in 10 people at best.  Keep that delusion alive.  You two are brilliant.

Dillon and Loris.  Loris has a very, very good football team in 3A this year in South Carolina.  They are probably a top 5 type school.  Dillon showed what they are in the second half last night.  They are just some kind of impressive.  A machine.  Still, a pretty dang good effort to come out and lead Dillon at the half.  Even that rarely happens for other opponents.  Mance has Loris in dang good shape.

Once again you Completely ignored my post, changed the subject, and put words in people's mouth. Per usual

Pull up one quote of anybody saying Giles talent level is the same this year as it was 10 years ago. I'll wait, and wait, and wait.

Strangerdanger and 1wing, you guys need to take a breather men.  Best wishes to the Spartans on the rest of the season.

This thread had pretty much died down and ran it's course, til yesterday Bandana Head decided to stir it all up again. Is he beyond taking a breather?

The first half was all Lions, stopping Dillon.  There were a couple of non-calls against  Dillon in 2nd half that were momentum killers for the Lions.  A  pass interference call and a muffed punt by Dillon which the Lions recovered, but refs kept possession with Dillon.  Coach Mance and his staff definitely have the Lions going in the right direction.  A big game with a dynasty opponent, had QB Huff out of rhythm and working with nerves.    Hopefully breaking down the game film between 1st and 2nd half with the players will be a building block for them for rest of season.

GO LIONS!!!

Speaking of Dillon quarterbacks, their eighth grade qb named Josiah Oxendine that has already received an offer from Pitt & two other small D1 schools.

He's a freshmen now and had an uncle play at Penn State and High School ball at Lumberton High, NC. Oxendine is a Lumbee Indian. That area in and around Lumberton stretching west on 74 over to Laurinburg and South as far as Dillon and Latta has a huge Lumbee Indian population and this tribe is historically great athletes.  They've had scores of athletes play D1 and some professionally. College hoops coach Kelvin Sampson and actress Heather Lockkear are both Lumbee.
