SwvaOG 600 Report Share Posted December 16, 2022 Graham, Radford and Ridgeview are well represented from SWVA. Outside the region, Central, Glenvar and Appomattox lead the way. Congrats to all. 2022-Football-Class-2-All-State-Release.pdf FootballFan77

BandanaVTDavis4321 1,717 Report Share Posted December 16, 2022 No Taylor from Tazewell and No Dolin from Graham is crazy to me, but outside of those two, it looks good. There's just no way to really know or tell about kids in the East like King William, Poqouson, etc. Glad the running back from Central Woodstock was on there. I bet the Gmen fans and Graham defenders would agree with him being on there. That kid is a downhill runaway trash dumpster bringing great anger and bad intent at the point of contact. He was also a Nasty linebacker and made lots of tackles against Graham. One final thing. The Sawyers kid from Graham is the most underrated at Graham High in the last 10 years. I think he can play big boy football on Saturdays. Just my opinion. JGray and Mountain Football
Mountain Football 1,532 Report Share Posted December 16, 2022 Gage Sawyers has some wheels. I'll be the first to admit I didn't notice his speed until the interception at VH. It was at that point I knew I had overlooked his true speed. Always knew the kid was an athlete and a dang good football player just didn't recognize his speed. Not taking away from any of the other 10 kids on special teams but Gage was a force to be reckoned with on that unit. One of those kids that was just fun to watch. He was a headhunter on special teams this year. I think he was the most improved last season and continued playing very well this year. I really think in a year or two, the Lilly boy will be equally an asset on special teams. He had some really good tackles.
Vol Hater 276 Report Share Posted December 17, 2022 This is a complete tranvsy that Union didn't get at least 1 of those 25 coaches on the list. You would think at lest the get back coach..... but congrats to all the young men who earned it.
