BandanaVTDavis4321 1,717 Report Share Posted February 19, 2023 The M7 is the better Hoops District in my opinion for sure compared to the SWD, but it's not out of the realm this year for the two teams advancing to state are both from the SWD in Virginia High and Graham. I'm not saying they do it, but I mentioned this earlier. There just ain't much of a big difference in Virginia High, Gate City, Central, Union, Ridgeview, Graham. I think Ridgeview, Virginia High, and Gate City are slightly, very slightly ahead of Graham and Central, but not really by that much. The divide is not so great that Central or Graham can't beat one of the 3 teams above in Va High, Union, or Ridgeview in the Region tournament. Graham losing by 5 in Bristol to a good VH team is sign of their youth that is starting to mature with a season now under its belt. Graham has the ability to beat GC, Union, or Ridgeview in the region tournament. Again, not saying they do, but if they do, not a major upset. Real Sasquatch 1,865 Report Share Posted February 19, 2023 Graham's best players are the younger players. They have a good upside, but make freshmen mistakes. I'm not convinced that Graham can make it to the region D title game. Although, they did stay pretty close to Va High this last time. Gridiron60 2,555 Report Share Posted February 20, 2023 Graham turned the ball over a lot last night, didn’t box out, and had trouble shooting at times. VH scored several times off rebounds that Graham could have had. I give Graham better chances next season when these young ones have had time to mature as players.
