It was tough. I wrestled back and forth who would be first such as Princeton, Union, Graham, Radford, maybe even George Wythe. So, here's mine and totally objective and fair here....

1. Giles. 2. Graham. 3. Union

4. Princeton. 5. Radford. 6. G. Wythe

7. Bluefield. 8. Galax. 9. Ridgeview

10. Tazewell. 11. G. City. 12. Honaker

Honorable Mention. Rye Cove, Richlands, James Monroe, Fort C

Giles gonna be any better this year? They sure have been down for a good while.

Hard to say man. As for my top 12, I'm obviously joking about Giles at 1. The rest is legit opinion. I do think the 3 at the top are interchangeably close in Princeton, Graham, Union, but pure guess and pure speculating based on how good we think they should be based on what they lost, return and how good they were last year. The obvious and probably most important factor is Seeing the 2024 teams play when picking a top 12 and in July, not possible yet.......but still fun.

I am having a hard time putting Union so high up, the rumor meal is Paul Huff will not be there the next school year.

He was at Eastside for the 7on7, but I noticed he's not on the Hudl page. Was hoping that was a mistake. Ugh...

Princeton should without a doubt be first in any list.

The Tigers in my opinion have likely crossed the hump and can now be considered an incredible HS Football Program In My Opinion, but I think they need to historically prove it. (I think they will by the way) but they've not had 3 really great football teams in a row for as long as my memory serves me and they did lose 2 Major D1 kids to graduation. I love their coach personally and as a coach. Great person, great guy, great coach.

Losing Dom Collins is big.  I think they will be good still.  Graham defeated Princeton in a 7 on 7 and Graham's line placed 2nd out of 27 teams at the Big Man Challenge at Tech, so I'm going with Graham and Union at #1 and #2, until I see them all in pads.  Graham scrimmages Princeton this year, that may tell us quite a bit about both teams.  You may be right, but Collins was arguably the best player in yhe state of WV last year at any level

Transfer or discipline related?  Of course it could be other reasons but those two are the usual suspects.  Good WR…..maybe wants more opportunities?

I would say it’s Fairmont’s to lose. They were already good but have brought in a ton of transfers. Bridgeport will be good too. One of Princeton, Bridgeport, or Fairmont will win AAA.

Yep. Point Pleasant had some really good teams a while back and seems to have fallen off a bit. Can't remember if they are AAA with the new classifications for WV football

Anyone looking solid this summer to help fill that void?

I've only seen some clips, nothing in person. I know they have some other talent at WR, but don't think any can do what he did.

They will really need to spread the ball around to make up for his loss.... assuming he really isn't playing.

I’ll say it again…..sound like a broken record.  Ridgeview can surprise people if they can get some good coaching. It will interesting to watch the next couple of seasons as the big hold  back class will be 9th graders this year.  According by to rumor mill, those who will be varsity has already been decided (continued tradition of no true open competition tryouts).

Some good talent but a lot of coaches kids and daddy ball kids in one class now.  It will be interesting to see if the coaches do what’s best for the team or what’s best for their respective kids.   Someone is gonna be pissed because they are all worried about offense and most of the kids play the same position.  And f they can get the daddy ball dads to focus on defense they could be really good.  Plus I think O’Quinn will be back and highly motivated this year……a-lot of veteran talent back on the Ridge.

Big time “sleeper” right here. They should be damn good.

The real domination except for football is coming from Abingdon.  If Central ever makes it to Class 3 ( which is possible at some me point) they would be there too.

Abingdon is at the enrollment level that the basketball and baseball programs aren't dependent on the football players at all.  This is such a luxury to have.  Those baseball kids are practicing year round and the basketball kids are focusing on basketball....those two sports are so rep intensive.  I've heard people say "stop complaining about Abingdon's enrollment numbers...just beat them on the field".....but they don't understand what an advantage an extra 200-250 kids is....especially at this enrollment point.  An extra 200 kids at the 4,5 or 6A level isn't that much of an advantage....at the 2A level it is huge.
