Chilhowie WR spun the ball on the ground in celebration of the score. Got called for unsportsmanlike conduct and enforced on the kickoff. Radio guys still bitching about the call, saying things like "I guess you just have to hand the ball to the official". I'm sitting here laughing in JI Burton. A favorite pastime down there SW_VA_boy 1 Quote

Once the chains came across the field, Grundy got the first by about half of a football. 45 minutes ago, Real Sasquatch said: Crazy sequence of events in Grundy. Tazewell kicks off, the ball doesn't go into the endzone. Both teams walk towards the sideline. Suddenly the Grundy kid goes runs over to pick the ball up, he gets tackled in the endzone for an apparentl safety. Somehow, they make the dogs re-kick it. Not sure what happened there. If anybody knows, please explain. That appeared to be a live ball to me. The refs of the Grundy/Tazewell game need to be investigated, this was most terrible officiated game I’ve ever watched, don’t let the score define you folks. SpillBoss 1 Quote

Riverheads initially would have had to punt from its own 40 with 3 minutes left, but CBurg is CBurg. Riverheads is Riverheads They weren't personal fouls....one was a block below the waist on the DEFENSE hmmmmm....the 2nd was pass interference on a ball 10 yards over the WRs head....some strange officiating at the end of the game Quote

I thought they were personal fouls. I was wrong. But,CBurg had chance after chance to put the game away like they did last year. Quote
Wvumav Posted October 5 Report Posted October 5 Wow! Winfield refuses to shake hands with Princeton. They just walk off after the game. A lot of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties from both sides during the game. Princeton players end up taunting the Winfield crowd as the coach try’s to get them off the field! Not a good look! Quote

Princeton has burned a lot of bridges. I know Pulaski and Tazewell are both dropping them next season. It's going to be hard for them to find opponents. GilesBandanaMan 1 Quote

Socastee lost to Dillon earlier by about 17 pts or more. What got Loris last week was the wet field and mix up moving the gsme due to the storm/rescheduling, plus Socastee is big and they play good defense which gives em a shot. tbgfan 1 Quote
GilesBandanaMan Posted October 5 Report Posted October 5 Princeton is starting to sound like the old rumors of Mercer Street up there. Back in the day, known as a bunch of rednecks and scumbags of Mercer Street. I'm not saying that's Princeton now, but it sure sounds like they might still have some Mercer Street in em Quote
Wvumav Posted October 5 Report Posted October 5 Princeton has a ton of talent and a great shot at the championship this year. But they are very undisciplined and that could eventually be their undoing. Too much talk and posturing between plays. Just play football and keep your mouth shut. They went from a program a few years ago who was lucky to win a game to all of this success and they are buying to much into their own hype. Quote
