Observer Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 Just saw on Twitter that Dewayne Stanley has stepped down as the football coach at Ridgview. Quote
UnionGuy2017 Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 I’m not sure who (if anyone) is in line to replace him. Rye Cove has a few coaches I’d give some looks at.. SwvaOG 1 Quote
SXSW Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 I'd call Rhodes at Eastside! SwvaOG 1 Quote
jeffro Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 Saban is available. Jimbo Fisher has decent record. Brown from WVU also would be a good pick Gridiron60 1 Quote
Observer Posted December 4, 2024 Author Report Posted December 4, 2024 @SwvaOG needs to get his application in!!! Quote
Gridiron60 Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 I nominate @SwvaOG ! He seems to know more than the average Stanley about football ummmm, I mean average Joe. 😂 Quote
SXSW Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 I think the ponytail guy will get it, I think he is their OC. swva_havok_fan 1 Quote

Wolf1207 Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 I hope they do a wide search, but over here nepotism is the game. Quote
Liam McPoyle Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 He's available and already has his Wolfpack gear swva_havok_fan, Wolf1207, Gridiron60 and 3 others 6 Quote

swva_havok_fan Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 If SWVAOG isn't available, I say call Colley out of the Friday Night Rivals booth or his son... wherever he may be these days. Last I heard, he was at Pulaski County I think. Dodgers 1 Quote

BigWinners Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 I’ll be @SwvaOG’s passing game coordinator or OL coach or even the guy in charge of time management. Lord knows Union needs one of those. Quote
Unchained Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 I say they go after Chris Akers 🙂 swva_havok_fan 1 Quote
S10SQUAREBODY4LIFE Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 Will be interesting. Shouldn't be hard to fill. They've been fairly successful for the most part. Sniffed a couple region titles. Holding out for one to bring back the I formation and play physical again. Quote

S10SQUAREBODY4LIFE Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 For real though, was he as bad anywhere as his time at Gate city? There are athletes there, might not be such a bad idea after all. Quote

Union_Fan Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 I must admit, this is surprising. I'd love to see what Colley would do with this team, but that's probably a long shot. Hope it works out for The Pack. Quote
Wolf1207 Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 This is a school that with the right class of athletes can win you a state title. They do need someone who isn’t in it for the money because that won’t really be there. They need someone who can step in and control the youth leagues and middle and jv teams. Keep the parents at an arms distance (easier said than done). Honestly, I think Kent Grant should hire himself as head coach. Then he can find and develop a couple of coordinators for the future. This is not a rebuild, but the program needs some polishing and a better strength and conditioning program (which I’ve heard is being fixed). Quote
