Question, what is the VHSL's infatuation with starting state tournament/championship games before Noon?

They play 2 games at each location.  They clear the stadium completely before the 2nd game to ensure that anybody wanting to watch both games pays twice and not just once.  In the past the first game started at 1:00 and the next game started at 4:30 and people would stay for both.

I feel like Rye Cove could have beat them easily no question unless they’recompletely lights out 2nd half. Grayson needs to figure out a way to score. You can repeatedly get in red zone & not capitalize! They’ve made it game for sure.

I think they want a bigger gap between games so everyone from the first game leaves and has to pay for the 2nd game.

I’m sure you’re right, but to the original point about starting before noon - couldn’t they just start the second game at 6:00 or later?

Good point since most teams play at 7pm during regular season & some even in the regional playoffs.
