record should not look to bad even with personel loses. they got they got one of the best coaching staffs in southwest virginia.  8- 2 at the worst.

Hard to tell really without knowing who they play but Eastside will be taking over that district beginning this season

Nothing against Rye Cove because they were really good but that playoff game was 100% winnable for Eastside. I honestly think in that game they were better even though the scoreboard didn’t reflect it and the score is what matters in the end. I look for Eastside to have a strong 2025 season.

I dunno if Eastside was truly better, they were very young and RC had a lot of veteran talent. Eastside is for sure coming but it may be hard to wrestle the crown away from RC this year. I don’t think they’ll drop off as far as others do. Elite coaching staff.

That QB was their whole offense and I’m pretty sure he graduated.  Hard for a D1 team to lose a guy like that and not have a drop off.

Lane did graduate.  Too say he was the whole offense shows the amount of knowledge about the team.  Its 1A.  An injury or two can change the complexion of a season for anyone by the time we get to November 2025.  Lot of time to see what shakes out between now and then.  If the Cove is healthy another promising season awaits them in 2025 I believe.

Yeah Lane was a big part but they return a lot of production in the backfield still

Yeah shouldn’t say whole offense but just going off the 3 games I watched they lose all 3 without him.  Eastside playoff game, Chilhowie, and I’m drawing a blank on he third game I watched

So you are looking at two close contests, but its not like those teams dont lose people too.  A big part of the current RC system is the diversity among the skill guys.  Each Eastside game for instance they were basically down a starting RB both times.  Guys who make big impacts on games.

Only 2 games I watched so can’t speak on games I didn’t watch.  I’m hoping they stay relevant I just think Eastside is about to take over since someone mentioned they’re only losing 4-5 players.  Most D1 teams who lose their starting QB usually have a drop off but you know more about who they have coming back than me.

i think if rye cove and twin springs combined  and kept the top 3 coaches from cove they would loss very ,very few div 1 games and win most div2

A VERY average Lee team gave RC all they wanted. The 1A/2A gap is HUGE

RC would have finished 4th at best in the M7, adding a few guys from TS and they might finish 3rd

Eastside will be replacing more players on each side of the ball than RC this year. RC will suffer more losses after the 2025 season than they will in regards to total numbers.

Gotcha I was just going off what I was told that eastside only lost like 4 starters total but you’d know more about it than me

I do think both with what they return, barring major injuries should be the two top teams in Region D 1A.  Rocky Bond will get more touches for Eastside this year with Stanley and Trent graduated.  RC will be a lot more athletic overall with some of the incoming freshmen I believe.  The JV and MS teams had solid seasons at RC last fall.

Will be a fun game to see I know the playoff game was
