How will that affect the Eagles this fall? Rye Cove has some really good coaches but myself personally I felt like he was the best one there. Not taking anything away from the others but Norris has a great football mind and relates well with the kids. Quote
Gridiron60 Posted March 1, 2025 Report Posted March 1, 2025 That stinks for Rye Cove but congratulations to Coach Norris on his new position. Has Tazewell or Honaker officially hired a head coach yet? Quote

BBHoops_18 Posted March 1, 2025 Report Posted March 1, 2025 I know Graham isn’t playing GW this year and has picked up Princeton. I imagine they’re not playing Galax. Nothing to gain from that. Anyone know who they’re picking up? Quote

1inStripes Posted March 2, 2025 Report Posted March 2, 2025 The world needs more people like Robbie Norris. It was a pleasure to get to know him some the last 3 years. I had officiated one of his games when he was at North when he crossed state lines and the only interaction I had had with him before that time. I think it's easy to say and be true that he left a positive impact on everyone associated with Rye Cove HS that he came into contact with. He will be missed but I hope he has a lot of success at Tri-Cities Christian or anything else he does in life. SXSW and Unchained 2 Quote

CPF Posted March 3, 2025 Report Posted March 3, 2025 I'd imagine it's just a one year thing with galax since we are playing southern gap in 2026. Real Sasquatch 1 Quote

The week 2 date most likely won't be where Southern Gap is placed in that schedule if it's just a 1 year deal though by my understanding. Could 9/19 or 10/10 possibly be a matchup with Grundy in anticipation of Southern Gap in 2026? Quote

Not sure where they will put Southern Gap at on the schedule. I would say, put them in Galax's spot in 2026. It won't hurt to have a district game early on. Quote
