Robbie is a jewel! Our son played football for him at Sullivan North. Robbie and my wife have been lifelong friends and classmates all the way through school (K-12) he has overcame a lot of obstacles to get to where he is, he is extremely shy and doesn't seek the spotlight at all, but he loves to coach kids and knows football, especially offense and particularly the Wing T, as good as anyone coaching. On of my favorite things he does is that he goes to NFL coaching clinics and learned how to manage a roster with just 53 players, he says that is about all you need if you manage it right. I will go watch him coach at Tri-Cities Christian, like I did at Rye Cove. Tri Cities is building a Lakeway Christian 2.0 at the Tri Cities Crossings, Lakeway has some amazing facilities and when finished will be full very soon after! Oh and don't be surprised if some very good assistant coaches from the area join him there. Oh, Tennessee now has school choice too!

Agree about Norris. When he was at North, you might out talent them, but you weren't going to out hit or out scrap them. Their double OT loss at Elizabethton in the playoffs was one of the better high school games I've ever seen in terms of an underdog nearly pulling the upset. If Vegas would have made a spread on that, it would have been Betsy -21, but the Raiders traded blow for blow for 4 quarters and 2 overtimes before falling.

I see 8-2. Losses to Union and Princeton.

Possibly.  That line returning for Graham will be formidable on both sides of the ball.  8-2 at worst, 10-0 is very possible.  Princeton lost their coaching staff.  Graham is in Unions head right now.  Interested to see how Palmer, Banks, Bradshaw and Cooper step in to the skill positions this year.  I'm sure they will have plenty of athletes that can step up,  Graham seems to always get better as the year goes on, that's the scary part about them.

9-1 at absolutely worst.  They ain’t losing to Union in Bluefield.

We’ll barely lose to them in regular season then get curb stomped like usual in the playoffs.  Until something is done with the play calling don’t expect anything to change

This is the year to knock off Graham.  They will still be very good, in my opinion and should be very good by seasons end, once those younger skill players have time to develop.  If all of the younger group stays together from middle school up, I look for Graham to make at least a couple of more deep runs.

I'm interested to see the Tazewell and Union game this year.  Tazewell has some good size and some good athleticism returning.  Interested to see how the new coaches approach has on the Bulldogs this year.  There is a bit of an uptick in interest around the program right now.

With Buchanan co consolidating and talks of Washington co doing the same… how rugged of a travel schedule comes each week for the teams of 1D?

imagine the schedules if Russel co were to eventually do the same.

I haven't hear anything about Washing to Co.  What are the talks there?

Take with grain of salt (my informant isn’t always correct) but apparently consolidation of Holston and PH.

I have heard that rumor before as well. It would probably make sense from a $$$ perspective for Washington County in the long term.

Was talking with a coworker here who is a PH alum and coach there as well.  Logistically it does make the most sense.  Take one of the smaller class 1 schools and put them in and have a solid class 2 school.  He said they just did some high dollar upgrades at PH so like any other county will be interesting to see if they do anything or not.

Another coworker is a Holston person and they go at it all the time so I would assume there would be some interesting times shoving both of those together.
