We aren't close to what we once were, but Radford would beat a bunch of those on that list. The best team in Swva in football is also the best one in basketball for 2024-25.

Fort Chiswell is pretty good.Has one of the best players in Swva. I think FC and GW play this week and that should be good. Has a junior guard who I think is Pat Sutfins son. Pat was All State at Rocky Gap and played at Radford.

I do agree Wise will crush GC and union should beat Lee, Union is also pretty down and I could also see Lee beating them by 10. I do think chilhowie is a top 10 team bc they did push central to double ot, central also played the worse they have all year though.

Abingdon is barely a top 10 team in the region and I’m sure some people don’t think they should be

I’d be surprised if Abingdon doesn’t end up better than Union, Lee and Eastside.

Lee is not a bad team at all, I just figure by the end of the season Abingdon will figure a few things out.  Union isn’t gonna be a huge factor, it’s a one man show and not much size. Need Bunch more involved, or someone to step up as a second scorer.

Wise crush GC in basketball?   Maybe if they poured them some Orange Crush and gave it to them in a glass. 
GC by 15 each time they play.  
Warriors got their fluke win in the history of the “rivalry” if that’s what you call it and that’s all they get.   
But do you call like 39-1 a rivalry?  
I mean I guess some patients visiting their psychiatrists do but hey. What do I know.   I’m the crazy poster. 
All I know is if Central has any chance to beat us at home and expect help from their fans they better arrive early bird status. We have new bleachers and the visitors side is now minus about 200-300 seats.  But if you do arrive early get ready to see what you have always seen in your history.   
A Blue Devil W!  Hayes and Collins and those guys can continue the family tradition.  L’s in the Den!

P.S.   I don’t think Casey Goetz wants to do any more showcases on the build up to the “rivalry”.  He is an anchor now.  Has a few more important things to do.  Got married.  Has a wife and a little family.  More time to focus on priority stuff than watching Wise practice to get beat.   That was a great piece though.  Great piece.  Hype and build brought a lot of concession money our way.  
Thanks again for the greenbacks.  Probably the most greenbacks you have seen in Wise since Clintwood rolled out the nice green jerseys in the LPD.  Loved those “rivalry” games too. 
Went and consolidated an entire county.  Well at least your girls teams got something out of it.  Your coach isnt bad either.  But I guess when you combine two schools that produced players like the Helton twins and Cricket Adams and Julie Adkins and the Reynolds girl that went to JMU I think it was and now a good player in McAmis.  But the guys?  Everyone has those dreams of being the man.  But it’s always a dream to beat the man until you actually do.  I mean one time?  Maybe it was two times.  Who knows.  It’s such a rarity I may see Halley’s Comet again before Wise wins any district in boys basketball ever.  
Truth is truth!   Good luck though.
