The McDaniels guy would be my pick. I think he’s made some very positive contributions to the program.

He’s already head coach of the baseball team. Just hope who ever gets the job can get them to the next level.

I heard through the grapevine that Tazewell is seeking the infamous Bud Kilmer for the Head Coaching position. Along with that they will be renaming to the Kilmer Coyotes.

McDaniel could technically do both since one is fall & the other spring, couldn’t he? If not, who’s that leave that a viable candidate that’s already there? Deacon Young?

He could! I feel it will be McDaniel or Burton. But what do I know!

Doing both is a lot to put on one guy especially at the 2A level. Possible yes, enjoyable absolutely not! Unless your life is high school sports but you really wouldn’t have time for anything else if you do both sports right

I can't see doing both, especially having young kids in sports.  Can't be everywhere.  Good luck to Tazewell, hopefully they will find a dedicated and committed coach to the program and kids.

Yeah, if he’s got young kids that would definitely be hard. A young single guy could probably manage it. Hopefully, they find someone with great football IQ & leadership skills.

I think Brandon is doing baseball and football at Tazewell now. He's the DC for the football team I believe so he could move up to head coach of football. I hope he does.

He’d be the obvious choice I would think. But being an assistant and a HC is two different things. It’d be a challenge but I think he could do it. Find the right supporting staff.

With a wife and kids being head coach of two sports would be a strain. More power to him if he wants to take that on.

Maybe I’ve missed this but has Ridgeview hired a head coach yet?

He has been the DC for a while so I would expect no changes on that side of the ball.  It will be interesting to see what they do on offense.  Does he keep the OC or bring on someone new.  If they are going to change offenses this is the time to do it...new QB.  I expect that to stay a 3/4 wide offense although I think they have the pieces to be a power running team.

What are the chances the admin goes outside and recruits someone not with the current program?

Who knows.  The job is posted on the Tazewell County Website.  It will probably depend on who applies, I guess.

Do they have a teaching position or some other position to offer in addition to HC? Not school can offer the salary package Grayson County HC got. I don’t recall all the specifics but I remember it being discussed on here.
