Unchained Posted February 1 Author Report Posted February 1 What a remarkable story that is developing at Union with the girls. Extremely young squad was 1-10 and has caught fire. 2 days ago, they almost stun Central, and tonight they upset Ridgeview on the road. Quite possibly the most dangerous team in the state right now. You can see the confidence surging. appyvol and CriticalNoise 2 Quote

BigWinners Posted February 1 Report Posted February 1 34 minutes ago, Unchained said: Wes Slagle. I knew that! Duh lol. I love Wes to death and I’d bet my life he has those girls competitive in year two. Maybe not winning the M7 but right there near it. And he’s gonna give it everything he has, I believed he shoulda got the boys job tbh. Hell of a player before the unfortunate injury issues. Not on Zack Moores level but a very good M7 player on the team with James Mitchell. Had Wes been fully healed his senior year they could have made a run, lotta length and athleticism right there. But that’s awesome for the Generals. A great win for that program. Gotta be their first win over GC in some time. Quote

Hopefully we can continue to bring the intensity like we had last night. Definitely been a Jekyl & Hyde year though. Swept Abingdon and beat GC, but lost to Ridgeview Quote
Gridiron60 Posted February 3 Report Posted February 3 Tomorrow night Graham 10-1 faces Shady Spring 10-1. Shady is the 2024 Class AAA defending state champions in West Virginia. It was their second state championship in four years. Quote
Bcats Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 Most are thinking it's a forgone conclusion that it's either Graham or Va High playing John Marshall and that may be the case.... Like Lee Corso says not so fast with Collins from wise almost dropping 50 last night and Hayes already almost had fiddy piece you don't want to see Wise Central come region tourny time. I do think Va High and Graham are the best 2 teams in 2a in swva but I think Wise Central is the most dangerous team Quote
volunteer Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 Central plays at Va High on Saturday. It should be interesting Bcats 1 Quote
