Central Vs John Marshall

What y'all think?  Can Central handle them like last yr or is this a better JM team?

I've watched Central a few times but got no clue about JM.    Guess its a home game for them

They’re ranked #6 in Class AA according to Maxpreps with a 15-8 record.  Central is ranked #1.

Wise will have the advantage in coaching and the best player on the court. I like their odds.

I don't think John Marshall is any better than they were last year. Their best player (Kiyah Lewis) transferred to James Monroe where she's carried them to the Class 3 final.

The western team is always the favorite in this game.

That’s the player that taunted another player earlier this week in state quarterfinals and then got decked, right? I think I read nothing was called on either girl not even a foul.

That was a different James Monroe player, Alexia Robinson.

Thanks, I knew it was a James Monroe player. High school basketball in Virginia getting wild these days although I think semis went off without any fans storming the court or players decking each other.

Altercations are happening left and right in the VHSL. Over the weekend at the class 3 indoor track state championships a runner was assaulted with a baton when she passed another runner. VHSL indoor track runner hit with baton in the back of the head

I don’t know what Stephen A. Smith said about Bronny because I don’t watch his show or professional basketball but Bronny is in the NBA and is open to criticism like any other player in the NBA. If he was a minor & not in the league then 100% off limits. I’m not really a fan of Smith or LeBron.

Lebron wouldn’t have whipped Stephen A anyway. Stephen could draw back like he was gonna punch LeBron and he would look like a bluegill landing into the bottom of a John boat flopping around. Softest rascal around.

Stephen A. Might mop the floor with LeBron who knows, the reason mentioning because Mozell dad issue is still being brought up, you thought it was the end of the world by him being a father getting on the court on what he thought his son and his son team from start to finish wasn't getting fair treatment. I'll leave that there because i wasn't there i don't know if they were or wasn't. The next day after the LeBron incident Stephen apologize to LeBron saying LeBron didn't come to me as a player he came to me as a father and roles reverse he said he would have done the same thing. This is the part that you can’t make it make sense jags52 said the coach from va high, the players and fans are bad examples and should be embarrassed, then goes on to praise coach Daniel's the former baseball coach for Va High who doesn't look like the rest of them saying he's a good example, well let me tell you about this great guy Daniel's the reason he isn't the head baseball coach at Va High because he got busted with not 1 dui but with 2 dui, he was only caught twice I'm sure there were more times he put people lives in danger behind the wheel. I'm not saying I look like the basketball coach or the players but I'm making a list to teach my kids not to judge this way

You keep don't look like the rest of the team or what not.  What do you mean?  Do some have receding hairlines or something?  Unibrows?

If you don’t think race plays at least some role in the way VHS basketball is talked about, you’re being naive or obtuse. But two things can be true, VHS gets looked at thru a different lens but they also can be guilty of some of the offenses like complaining and such. It’s not limited to VHS by any means.

That's true but I thought we were way past this, even down to criticism of the parents and fans and I'm like what fans. 

That's a home game this season for Va High for 2nd place in the conference look at the home stands it's empty besides parents and a few family members. Lebanon has more fans there coming 50 minutes away. When we played gate city in the region tourny in girls and boys the gc announcers said this is sad that they don't support their team it was more gate city fans there. Somehow we even have this obnoxious fan base that doesn’t exist. A fair criticism for Va High fans including myself is we don't support Va High like we should, before the fan incident i was telling another poster that I can't remember the last time I've been to a Va High football game, in the last so many years I've watched more Science Hill, greeneville, Elizabethton, dobyns Bennett, Maryville and Alcoa which both are outside of knoxville in person than Va High. I could careless that Va High lost to Floyd I've never thought this team was good enough to make it back to Richmond I've been saying all season but I get upset when attacking the players, coaches and parents of the players characters because I know them and the stuff being said is far from the truth

Please show me the video where the parent attack someone, he came onto the court to give the refs a peace of his mind then he was restrained, the bristol superintendent said in the paper he spoke to the parent and the parent apologize. This is a time to be celebrating Wise Vs JM and Graham vs JM let's move on, but look there's no thread for Graham vs JM it's like nobody cares, the story of that game is going to be all about JM should be embarrassed by beating a team by 40+, when it was our turn last year to get stomped we embrace it and enjoyed every minute of it. Let the kids be kids

Do some reading this incident happened a week ago from yesterday still this past Sunday it was mentioned about the fan getting on the court, also do some reading I've been said buried this subject and move on. For what is being said about the Bearcats parents needs to be said about the grown men on this site that maybe are parents to teach your children that there is no difference in humans or the gap will keep growing

Shouldn't this argument be on another thread? It's went on and on and this thread is supposed to be discussing Central-JM
