Gridiron60 Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 From SW Partriot Group on FB-just sharing , not privy to anything other than what’s stated. URGENT: HELP ELLA GET BACK ON THE TRACK! We need the help of our local leaders to correct an injustice happening right here in Southwest Virginia. Ella, a hardworking student-athlete from Council High School, is being punished by VHSL for circumstances completely outside of her control. Because her school didn’t have enough players for a basketball team, she practiced with another local school while staying fully enrolled at Council. Now, VHSL says she’s ineligible to compete in track — the sport she’s trained for, poured her heart into, and even attracted college interest for. This is not right. A young woman who has worked tirelessly to represent our region with pride should NOT be punished for doing nothing wrong. We are asking for immediate action from our elected officials: @SenatorTravisHackworth @DelegateWillMorefield @DelegateTaraDurant (Chair of House Education) @GovernorGlennYoungkin @LieutenantGovernorWinsomeSears Children like Ella are the future of Virginia. They should be encouraged, not punished. Please stand up for Ella and demand that the VHSL grant her immediate eligibility so she can finish her junior season and continue chasing her dreams. Let Ella Run! #JusticeForElla Tag your local legislator in the comments!! Israel O'Quinn Senator Travis Hackworth Todd Pillion Winsome Earle-Sears Glenn Youngkin Quote
