There's a huge parking lot over on Stadium Drive.

You all should park folks there and bus them over.

The city would charge 50 dollars a car.

Another set of bleachers are on the way and they are supposed to be set up by 9/1. People need to relax, they've held little league games there for years with no bleachers. This is not optimal for the season but it is what it is.  They never planned to be there this year but unfortunately the greed of bluefield west virginia pushed us here. I was there today as well, and I thought the police did a good job overall. All I can say is if you have a problem with it stay home and watch it on tv.

I guess two things can be true at the same time. To your point, Graham has hosted many youth events before, and not once has the police been there to help with parking. Why today? The school wanted to present the illusion they had it under control, and anyone with eyes could see it was a $&@& show

I can walk my old behind from the middle school.  Good grief, there are more things in life that are much more of a $#!t show.  I've been watching High School Football for 50 plus years and I've been to plenty of games where I had to walk a country mile because of parking.  The day I can't walk is the day I'll stop going

Although I've never seen you actually walking the country mile through the wood. I have heard you many times banging sticks against trees.

It's difficult to stay hidden at the ball games.  Especially walking to and from them.  Perhaps I've thrown an occasional rock your way....

Thought i read on here that Taz County was getting the bleachers from Pocahontas field to go as Grahams away side bleachers? Are those bleachers they just put in from Pocahontas?

No. They decided to do rentals for this year. I don't think it's been decided to get the Pocahontas bleachers refurbished and moved to Graham or buy new ones now. To be determined......lots of moving parts currently. Hopefully this all gets worked out in next month or two. This year is pretty much what it is currently.

Wait, you mean the county administrator & board of supervisors didn’t sequester more funds to keep them from renting the bleachers? Did the school board have to submit a rental agreement for Mr. Young for him  to personally approve? No one wants the school board determining how to budget their funding, how ludicrous. We need the county administrator,  board of supervisors, possibly even a private foundation making those determinations 🙄

Yes, the bleachers do look nice but I digress from my original comments. 😂

I saw it mentioned today by a school board member the possibility of taking the Pocahontas bleachers and refurbishing them then placing them in the south end zone for the band and student section.

Ron Brown just said on his broadcast the visiting bleachers put in at Graham will seat 370.

Honestly, that would probably hold most home crowds at a normal Graham game if I were guessing.

So i get to watch my first game at Graham's learning center. Richlands Middle Vs Graham Middle. Mixed feelings-I coached a lot of games at this field back in the day. Lot of great memories. Now my girl is cheering for Richlands -(yeah I'm a Graham fan).
