Many talk about PV vs Burton in the Jones-Sensabaugh war where they combined for about a million yards, as well as the 452 Lee's Tyler Graham put up in a wild loss at Central, but in all my years of watching high school football, the most impressive game I have ever seen came from an unheralded Thomas Walker LB and he was so good that night in roughly 6 quarters  at the Burton Jamboree even all these years I still remember his name. Stephen Susong. He was a heat seeking missile who flew to the football and made more individual tackles and TFLs than any player I have ever seen at the high school level. To be an LPD guy and seeing so many greats from PV,Appy...etc to be as impressed as I was still a big deal. Had that young man played on a better team, he could have played anywhere and next level. What/who stands out to you?

Steve Dye for Richlands, 1994 v. Lee High. I'm pretty sure it's still the school record: 384 passing yards and 6 TDs, no INTs, in a 48-45 loss that was redeemed two weeks later in the Region IV semifinals, 66-23.

St. Paul Deacon Erik Short threw for over 500 in a wild shootout loss to JJK. Another memorable effort.

I saw this one. One that stands out for me was Brannon Breeding in 1992 state semifinals vs Salem for 46 carries and 229 (?) yards.

Ahmad Bradshaw vs Vic Hall-led Gretna playoffs. I don’t recall stats, but he did everything except drive the team bus.

There may be more impressive performances, but I’m limited to what I witnessed in person.

Clements vs Union on NFHS also ranks up there.

One that I saw in person, nephew was playing for Wise Central at the time. Tyler Graham from Lee ran for 499 yards in a loss! I believe final was 51-50 warriors.

My eldest was playing for Central as well. That game was like watching a fast tennis volley lol.
