First Day Numbers

Football is about to commence. I’m not sure which teams may start the end of this week & which ones are waiting until next Monday but post first day numbers here if you all hear them. I know some will probably go count them in person 😂.

Right, I know several started yesterday. Graham starts Monday, I’m guessing 35-40ish.

Drove by Bluefield, if the Beavers have 30 kids they are lucky. Crazy how much things have changed. All the Beaver kids keep hopping on the Graham train.

Not aware of any Bluefield kids coming to Graham this season, but I am aware of a couple going to Princeton this year.  The emergence is Princeton as a 3A contender does not help their situation But Graham has 3 rings in 6 years too.

I don't know the numbers, but it appears that Tazewell has quite a few out (just going by what I have seen in video).  Anybody know how many the Dogs have out?   I know they have been working hard this off-season and there is some excitement with the new coach.

Rye Cove is around 45-50 kids.  Castlewood around 25.  Gate City around 40.  Haven't witnessed it but what I have been told by people I would trust.

I actually did hear all the Buchanan Co. teams had pretty low numbers and that Twin Valley may not have the numbers to start the season or finish the season if they do start it.

I think Media Day for Tazewell County is Friday, the 8th.   I'm sure numbers will change, it's only been 2 days of practice.  There will be some that quit and there is always a few on vacation.   But it's good to get a general # to know how much involvement there is
