I don’t think Eastside over Rye Cove is that bold at all. I think Eastside wins, it was close last year and Eastside has just gotten better whereas I think RC, naturally with all the losses to graduation and on the coaching staff, has to take a small step back.

From watching Grayson County last night,they look to be the class of D1. They should be though as they are a D2 hiding in D1 ranks:)

Rural retreat was just as good as Eastside last night.  If it wasn't for clock management mistakes by coaches...could have just gotten a first down and won 29 to 28 instead of scoring and giving Eastside ball back... and bs refs says the ball didn't go ten yards on onside kick when it indeed went 13 they would have won.  But i know that's alot of ifs.

I'm surprised Grayson county is balling out

..I saw them lose to Alleghany and wasn't impressed.  Alleghany is never that good in nc.  But then again they beat them last year too and Grayson went all the way to the finals.

They did IIRC. They were super young last year and I believe return almost all of their production and most of their line of scrimmage guys.

Their fans told me same thing in Salem. I drank beer and tailgated with em. The one they are worried about is Altavista in the East. They returned a lot this year also

Scary thought for 1A. Only hope is a team like Eastside or RC could junk it up and make it a short, ugly game.

6 and 4. Disappointed unless Giles has truly turned the corner and that much improved. We were expected to be better. Lots of disappointment so far. Maybe we turn it around. Won't matter. Glenvar is a lock for C. At this point, Glenvar, Gretna, and probably Appomattox are better than us.

Gonna probably be Glenvar and Union in state semis. Will be a game of momentum. If game starts and Union is dominating LOS and getting pressure and gashing them for 7 yards, Bears win. If Union doesnt get pressure or is only getting 2 or 3 yards per pop, Glenvar will win. Lots of season left though. I think Union will be playing Armstrong in Salem.

I don’t think Radford is a bad team and I do think Giles grew up a lot after that Blacksburg beat down. Radford has great athletes on all sides, I just don’t think they were very prepared and we just overwhelmed them on the LOS. I think I counted like 5 different defensive formations the Bobcats attempted but none of them worked.

I dont think the team grew up a lot because they are what they are at the start of the season. Most likely, the coaching staff made the adjustments necessary to be where they are. Things Jeff didn't do but Sam will

I think if Giles went back and played Blacksburg again they would either win or keep it within a few points. Blacksburg is not that good after watching them play Floyd.
