BHC's Prep Football Predictions for Oct. 2-4, 2025

Crazy that the "official" 1D power points are giving credit to Hurley for beating Tri Cities Christian. They aren't recognized by the VHSL and they mostly play 8 man football. Don't understand that one.

This is their 1st year playing 11, surely theyre not going back and forth between 8 and 11? 

With Power Points being calculated by each region would the decision on who counts and who doesnt be left to the Region?

Some of these small schools in Virginia should start playing 8 man football with the schools in Tennessee that play 8 man football.

Ridgeview at Paintsville but not on NFHS. RV will play on 2 consecutive Thursdays as they'll be at Bullitt Park next Thursday night.

Twin Valley and Hurley are their only two 11 man contests. All others are 8 man. Technically, each region can choose how they want to determine seeding, but one would think this would raise a huge question on fairness when the rest of the region is playing against teams with a full 11 man schedule.

The the KTN...TCA, which had its 11-man season opener on Aug. 1 canceled by Hancock County, will play eight 8-man games and a pair of 11-man road contests at Hurley and Twin Valley in Southwest Virginia. Due to the current lack of players, Norris acknowledges that the decision to begin in 8-man was the correct one.

Any games with Tri Cities Christian should not count as they would not have last year.

Paintsville's schedule shows tomorrow night. It does appear to be free though.

It was  originally scheduled for a Thursday. Then Paintsville moved it back to Friday a couple of months ago.

Used to watch Hopewell alot when living out east but seems like they've really fallen since then.  They were beating large schools in the early 2000s

Yeah that area has apparently lost alot of people since I've been there had no idea they've dropped all the way down to 3a.  There in an area where they're probably playing alot of 5a and 6a teams though.

Dinwiddie is 4A and a powerhouse, so it will probably be over by halftime tonight.

Varina is usually pretty good.  Of course not seen them recently, last time I saw them was when Michael Robinson was there.

West Ridge and Mo West both look bad. TN folks can maybe tell me what's happened to the Trojan program? They used to be the Greeneville of NET.

I don't know enough about everyone else to say, just know that DW is doing great this year and have had quite a bit of success the last few years.

I’m not sure exactly what happened. But the game between them and East was battle for worst.
