At what point do people realize that coach houseright can’t win big games. Yes he’s had a winning record since taking over, but he’s consistently failed to win big games or the playoffs. The offense is stuck in 1955 and the defense can’t defend a pass to save their lives. Probably an unpopular opinion, but the staff never fixes the issues that have been apparent for 6 years now.

Not sure what the thinking was on that play.  You give yourself a chance just with the simple fact a fumble or bad snap was happening often.  Defense held them decent all night.  Special teams were not good tonight at all.  Rv kept them in it but gc made the bigger mistakes.  Playoffs will be interesting. Rv benefits for sure on their side of the bracket unless a healthy leb shows up.  That would be a 100pt game though.

Just from an outsider's perspective, I haven't seen any situation where GC lost a game due to coach Houseright.

The conditions tonight were horrible and were going to affect both teams. One was bound to be affected more than the other and it looks like that team was GC. 10 fumbles?? That doesn't happen on a dry field, and I'm pretty sure that Jeremy didn't fumble any those.

This is by far the dumbest thing I have seen on the Internet today. It's almost as dumb as UT fans wanting fire Huepal.

Huepel has had similar success as compared to Franklin and Kelly. I don’t think that Franklin or Kelly should have been fired but modern cfb means you need to be successful. Dumb? Yea probably. But if TN loses one more game I’d be surprised if he still had a job

You can’t fire him now just bc you’ll have a hard time landing a splash hire. LSU is a better job right now, probably UF too in some people’s eyes so at best they are third in line in SEC and some would even have Auburn ahead bc of the recent national titles.

Because of NIL UT is not behind Auburn. I’d say the only schools ahead of UT is Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, and LSU. The oils money will dominate the SEC for the next decade or so.
On this topic, GC is headed in the right direction. Just be patient. Like has been said, the talent hasn’t been on the Union, Graham, or RV level consistently,

Tennessee has NIL money to burn, they were a cutting edge school on NIL! Tennessee is the youngest team in the SEC and Tennessee has a 5 star QB, 5 star WR and probably will end up with a 5 star RB coming in. Danny White wouldn't fire him unless they caught him with a smoking gun at a murder scene and then Plowman would have to me him do it.

They have the #1 player in the country a OL unless he’s decommitted

Cmon now, UT isn’t a better job than Alabama. Let’s not go overboard here lol.

Right now, no it is not. In a decade, with the population explosion in Tennessee that could change. With the money Vandy is spending, I think they will be leaving thy he basement of the SEC.

Asking for housewright to be replaced? All i can picture is when they were close to rock bottom running a wildcat offense and giving up a ton of points weekly. That's what he inherited and has made them relevant and competitive again.  Pretty good bunch coming up from 8th grade next season and freshman bunch pretty solid as well. Be patient and trust the process.

Gate City , you do remember what it was like before Houseright? He has achieved great results , but I am sure some other neighboring schools would love to have him, Union has an endless supply of backpacks.

Yeah, it’s a little puzzling why anyone would think Houseright should go. He’s definitely got the program trending up from the years prior to him taking the helm. Let’s face it, Gate City has transitioned to more of a basketball school from the McClung effect but Houseright is doing a great job building football program back up.

Definitely puzzling why a GC fan would want him gone

GC was in the gutter when Houseright took over, and his teams haven't exactly been loaded with talent, dont forget that

Fry and Colobro never went over 2 season without being over 7  3   . one averaged 9 wins per season and the other 9.5 including playoffs. Was they ever that low on talent?

Shocking that Jeremy isn’t winning like those two Hall of Famers did. I mean, who needs a roster with the Rogers, Baker, Fry, Wolfe, Shoemaker, Houseright, Beasley et al. to dominate SWVA? Coaching should fix genetics, right?
